Hey all, it's Kate Bishop, and I figured we're in a position to try to bring together our information now. We got a lot of stuff over the weekend, and I know a number of people are looking into the situation with Captain Holiday. I know that I'm worried about him, at least, so hopefully, we can all come together.

After all, Loki and Annie have really put it best: sharing is caring when it comes to this stuff, so let's do some sharing.

Below, I'm going to try to organize our sharing and caring to the best of my ability! Talk among yourselves.

Name of Hornet you Encountered: Miguel Rodriquez
Describe the encounter: Skye helped me hold him while I used my psychometry!
Any useful information: I got a flash of a memory with a room full of imPorts and native heroes sitting across the room from Miguel. Miguel is a journalist—or was. The fishy thing is that since I've found out about him, it turns out that most of his work in the years leading up to the imPort deportation has vanished. There's no record of it.

Along with Miguel, Salvatore Quisma and Captain Parc Holiday were sitting on the side of the imPorts and heroes. Quisma smokes a lot in this memory.

Miguel's saying that imPorts with powers caused a ... problem. He was asking why they were remaining silent on A Matter (emphasis important), but he didn't say what it was.

Salvatore responds that powers weren't the matter, and that no one's lives are more significant than anyone else's.

I've looked into this since then, and there was a supposed gas leak about an hour south of Heropa. There isn't a whole lot of information about it, but suspicions got out (here and there, trust me when I sat that there is not a lot) that it was caused by an imPort who had the power to manipulate gaseous substances.

Of course, a lot of that's up in the air. The bit I saw makes me think that yeah, it happened, but that's up to everyone else to decide.

Describe the encounter: The bitch punched me in the face and threw me into a van (after another one stuck a collar on me.)
Any useful information: She said something about the government keeping us in a bubble that no citizens were meant to pop--but she would make us pop where others would see us.

Well apparently I like chaos then.

I don't have any specific details but I ought to mention that their null collars aren't 100% reliable. They're still reliable enough to do the job but they don't null our powers completely so I figure either they never bothered perfecting them or we got hit with prototypes.

I'll just leave the important information here, not that I don't appreciate the attempt at organization. We were close enough that I was able to pick up some things from her with my empathy. She felt wronged, extremely wronged. She was also angry at me and all of us.

I also get the impression they don't care if we're registered or not. They're pissed all the same. Which says something.

When I asked her about the collar she told me that one man's trash is another man's treasure. Might say something about where they got them from.

it might be that Liam Lawson from the files Annie shared with us awhile back. Tried to get him to give me more details but he got away from me, the slippery bastard

If I had to guess, though, he probably didnt agree with their methods and tried to leave, then got killed by the rest

Describe the encounter: steve rogers was fight her, with a nullifier on. hit her on the head with a lantern. knocked her down and held a knife to her.
Any useful information: "We're doing you a favor, you know... you should be grateful. They won't always have your back. You can't see it yet -- maybe you never will -- but they're inches away from turning in on themselves like an ouroboros. You'll be next. And us, they won't even see coming." That's all she said.

Describe the encounter: Jen and I had found an injured woman in the maze. This was about when the screaming started. While we were checking her out, he found us. Have you ever met someone who puts you on edge on sight? Looks wrong, sounds wrong, smells wrong? That's this guy. Stunk like you wouldn't believe. He said he'd been listening to us, did some blathering about how the government shouldn't be in the imPort business. He grabbed at Jen - I think that's when he got the nullifier on her. I went to push him back and got one, too. At that point, he got upgraded from creepy to crazy. We got into it - he had a knife. Got him pushed back enough to yank Jen out of a hay wall and pick up the woman. We hoofed it in the other direction, eventually made it out of the maze.

Any useful information: I don't think so. I threw a couple of questions at him because I was curious what he thought the imPorts should do. He admitted the files the government has on us is a weapon. He did say the government always did like them young and impressionable. That, I remember. Camp H.A.M.M.E.R. was loaded with kids, the ones that Osborn experimented on.

But like you said. I shouldn't draw parallels.
