[ While it can be easily argued that his fashion sense was occasionally, lacking, Charles looks to be dressed up for office life. At least, he's wearing a button down shirt, with a suit coat over it and he's sitting at a desk with paperwork strewn all about.

The paperwork, for anyone paying close attention to such things, look like some sort of outer space globe like schematic. That or a really odd looking hat.

Never mind the paperwork. Have a warm smile instead, as he reaches for a mug of tea. ]

Good morning.

I have a quick question, which I suppose I could have just looked up in the yellow pages [ ssshhh, he comes from the Seventies, when yellow pagers were still a thing ] but I was hoping for some more personal recommendations.

Now that things have calmed down a bit I am hoping to start spending time at a gym. [ He'd actually been wanting to ask this question for awhile now but ... Russians. ] Preferably one with a pool.

I live in Nonah, work in De Chima, so either area would be good, if anyone knows of something. I would be most appreciative.

[ He starts to reach over to switch the video feed off but pauses. ]

Oh! Ah, one more item. Does anyone know of a good general medical practitioner? Or do most of us utilize the local medical professionals?

I've got a friend who does medical technology, but despite being a healer he isn't exactly a doctor.

And the training facility there in Nonah has a pool. It's where I go to box. [Yes, she travels across the country to hit a bag. Don't judge her.]

[ Certainly no judgement here. ]

It's good to hear from you Gogo! [ Just going to get that out of the way first. ]

Which training facility would that be?

You too. Did you get hit by that craziness the other week? [She would apologize for her professor, but it's just her friends. Everyone from her world causes havoc here, it seems like.]

The Nonah Import Training Facility, [Charles will get a message with the address.] Made by imports, for imports. It was intended as a sturdy place for power training, but I just like being away from the natives sometimes.

By some turn of good luck, I avoided most of the craziness the other week. [ He said. It was true, except for meeting an older Erik and the worrisome encounter with an older Tony, Charles had mostly avoided the chaos.

Glancing down, he took note of the name and address that came across the device, looking up when Gogo talked about the place. One dark eyebrow arched in a curious manner. ]

My power isn't so impressive as to require a sturdy location. This truly is more for general fitness needs but thank you for the suggestion, I'll check it out.

[ He paused briefly but then curiosity got the better of him. ]

Do you feel that often, Gogo? The need to be away from the native population of this world?

[She's glad he got away from the worst that could have possibly happened. Her friends weren't so lucky, having been stuck in the middle of everything.

His question takes her by surprise, something that she never really put much thought into. It's not like she hated them, or was afraid or anything. If it weren't such a clear divide of Us and Them then she wouldn't even feel different to begin with.

It's just...]

Being recognized in the street gets old. [She's not used to any kind of popularity, and even back home she was more than happy to keep to herself so long as her friends weren't dragging her out of work. Here it's easier to...be involved, but she really can't stand the hate or the hero worship. Even when it's not aimed at her. It's tiring.]

Ah. [ He said in an understanding tone. ] I've been lucky not to run into too much of that.

[ Sometimes the chair was too his benefit. He didn't strike the imposing, heroic figure that came to mind when people talked about 'superheros'. If the chair didn't result in some uncomfortable glancing away, it at least softened the idea that he was anything but ordinary.

He liked it that way. If he couldn't have the shelter afforded by his money, he'd find new ways to maintain an unassuming profile. ]

[She waves her hand.] It's just exhausting. I've got work to do, I don't have time for them.

[Don't worry about her, Charles, she's determined to not be fucked up anymore. She will radiate okayness until it's real.]

And hey, if you change your mind, I'm at that training center three days a week. [She'd probably be a good spotter. You know, if dad ever gets too annoying.]

[ Uh huh. He hasn't forgotten the state she was in during the Russian occupation and he pauses a little at her words now.

He won't say anything but he does take note of them, the tone and it's something he'll consider a little later, when it's quiet. ]

I haven't made my mind up, one way or the other yet. Keeping my options open until I have a chance to visit these locations. But I will definitely keep all of this in mind.

Cool. Let me know, I can rework my schedule.

[She glances down momentarily, then tilts her head at him.] So what kind of schematic is that? It's not a design I recognize.

[ Charles glanced down at the worksheets and then back up. ]

Just a project from home, I'm seeing if I can recreate it from memory. It's a machine a friend of mine designed, he is quite brilliant I think you would like him, if he ever happens to be brought here.

[She smiles. If she ever gets the chance to do so, she'd love to meet him. Anyone that designs machines is someone to get to know, and even from such a bad angle she can tell that a lot of real thought went into this design.]

Want me to give you a hand? Design and mechanics was what I majored in back home. [Sure, she builds things in motion, but it's still a versatile class.]

[ It is on that tip of his tongue to politely refuse, mostly because he's keeping this particular project close to the vest.

Truth was, he wasn't sure if he was even going to make an attempt to build out the designs. Right now, the exercise was to see if he could even remember the particulars. But if he did get to a point where building it might be feasible ... ]

Let me get a little further along in seeing how much I can remember. I might not have enough material memorized to even make it viable. But if I cross that threshold, can I check in and see if you're still interested?

Definitely. And if you do get stuck you can let me know what it's supposed to do and I can see if I could reverse engineer something to fill in the blank.

[Tadashi and Hiro are programming geniuses, too. If she couldn't figure it out, she's certain they'd be more than capable.

The chance to get her hands in another world's tech would be beyond exciting. She's exhausted this world's mechanics already.]

[ Charles sat for a moment and let himself consider the implications of reverse engineering Cerebro.

Speaking of which, will you be able to help Tony and I with our other project?

[She knows Tony's name, pretty much everyone does, but she never worked for Stark like her friends do. They talked tech once and that was pretty much it.

She had no idea Charles was working with him, too.]

What kind of project?

One intended to help this world. [ Charles boiled it down to it's most basic. ] And perhaps to help us find our place in it, through a bit of personal investment.

You know, it's coming up on my anniversary here. About time I do something productive. What did you have in mind?

Well, if you're going to ask. [ He began, grinning as he launched into a run down of the project he and Tony had decided to launch.

We say run down but this is Charles Xavier we're talking about. As he got into discussing the project, he lit up with excitement and a 'brief' overview became a lot more detailed.

There was no doubt he had a passion for this project and also a genuine passion for the chance to foster cooperation and understanding between imPorts and the native population on this planet.

Eventually he wound down, looking a little apologetic as if he realized he'd just been 'professoring' for at least the past ten minutes. ]

Ah, yes well. That's the main idea ... do you have any questions, my dear?

[He might feel awkward about going on in detail, but Gogo sits with rapt attention and listens without interruption. At some point she'd grabbed a notebook off her desk and started writing any important details he gives her, like taking notes in class.

As he stops she mulls it over for a moment.]

Will this be largely independent or will there be volunteer shifts with sign ups? Do we bring notice of the work to you, or are you planning on having an office available where people who need help can come request it and then you guys can contact the imports best suited for it?

[ Charles blinked, looking pensive for a moment, before he sat forward attentively. ]

We're still in the initial stages with all of this so honestly, I don't have a definitive answer for you.

This is all definitely volunteer, and we don't have any intentions to interfere beyond ensuring that the rules the US government gave us are adhered too. [ Meaning no weapons or military applications. ]

Our feeling is people know what they can contribute best and should have the flexibility to give what they feel comfortable volunteering. We're here mostly to provide logistical support, coordinating supplies and perhaps help with the initial contact.

Though as things progress if it looks like more or less involvement is necessary, we'll change and hopefully grow accordingly.

It might be a good idea to keep a list of volunteers and what they're willing to do, whichever way you go about it. At the very least in case a natural disaster happens, then you can rally up help immediately.

[A thoughtful pause.]

You'd have to guarantee the privacy of that list, however. With all that's been going on having it lying around wouldn't be a great idea.

If need be I know Mr. Stark has two very good programmers working for him, one of which is a friend of mine and the other specializes in digital security. [Presuming Tony isn't perfectly capable of it himself, but beyond mechanics she's not sure what he does.]

[ Again, Charles was thoughtful for a moment, before he frowned pensively, considering. ]

We don't have any intention outing specifics about abilities, beyond what volunteers are comfortable sharing with the project.

It is my hope that people offer what they feel comfortable sharing, not necessarily everything they are capable of, at least not if or until they are ready.

Well, put my name down, then. I don't have a project right now, so helping out around the city would be a good way to spend time.

[She'll need practice, though, if she's going to be using her power for more than just little stuff. Perhaps someone to train with.]

[ That got a pleased smile out of Charles, true he was often quick to smile but still. He did grow sober again before asking. ]

The idea in this project was to work on a more global scale. We've gotten approval from the US government, with a few conditions, if that's a concern and of course if you'd rather stay local that can be accommodated.

My only trip outside the US ever was Antarctica and I really didn't get to take in the sights. [Gogo, stop being casual about your own kidnapping.] Not even a single penguin.

I'm thinking a career change anyway, once the semester's ended. Turns out I'm a pretty lousy teacher.
