Greetings, Network. My name is Skeets. As new imports come trickling in again, I have something important for us to discuss.

As you're aware, imPorts by definition do not come from this Earth and are instead from various alternate universes. Some of us come from the same or similar worlds to each other, while others come from vastly different ones. This has created an organizational problem for me in my file-keeping. I'd like to categorize known worlds but as of yet I haven't many records of names.

I believe it's about time we agreed on some names for our home universes to make things easier - not just for data collection but also to make it easier for us to talk about them.

To that end, I've compiled a few questions:

1) Is the world you come from Earth or a different planet? If Earth, answer 2a. If it is not Earth, answer 2b.
2a) If Earth, are there any distinct geological, political, historical (etc) differences from this world? If yes, please elaborate.
2b) Does your world or planet have a name? Are there any distinct details or differences that would distinguish it from Earth? How is it different?
3) Are you aware of others from your universe?
4) Are you aware of others from a universe which includes a known parallel or alternate version of yourself or people you are familiar with?
5) Is there anything distinct about your home universe that is not covered in the above questions?
6) Do you have any suggestions for what to name your universe? It would be prudent to avoid numbers or letters. No "Earth 1" or "Earth Alpha". This is not - excuse the term - a dick measuring contest.

Feel free to answer these questions in whichever format you find most comfortable.

1) Earth
2a) No flying cars. Less overt war with Russia. Similar technology (smartphones) and culture.
3) Yes, three of my friends are here and one other person who is not a friend.
4) Yes, alternate versions of myself and two of my friends were here previously. They were similar to us in some ways and different in enough ways that encountering evidence of their existence is deeply unsettling.
5) The only things I'm aware of are personal secrets.
6) Henrietta

1) it both has earth and is Earth
2a) It has me, the Spice Girls and no flying cars. Cold War ended a while ago but it's kind of just been like "The Lukewarm Varying Levels of Tension", I reckon.
3) Are you aware of others from your universe? I mean there are so many earths, how do we know a bunch of earth people aren't from the same universe unless we all have encyclopaedic knowledge of everything
4) Are you aware of others from a universe which includes a known parallel or alternate version of yourself or people you are familiar with? dunno
5) Is there anything distinct about your home universe that is not covered in the above questions?Aaustralia elected a man with bat sonar and a penchant for budgie smugglers
please tell me Abbott didn't get elected in other universes
6) Do you have any suggestions for what to name your universe? FAIR DINK

1) Earth.
2a) Yes. USSR fell in the 90s for good with the Berlin Wall. I think it's a lot more similar to other worlds out there.
3) Not here.
4) No.
[ LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE. ]
5. No superpowers. September 11th Attack only affected one tower, instead of two like the Previous Earth we were at.
6. No suggestion. It's pretty normal.

Is this... do you think it's a good idea to categorize these? It's a lot of work, even for you.

1.) I'm from a different planet. "Earth" might exist somewhere in the galaxy in the Unknown Regions, or it could be a planet already discovered that could even be renamed later.
2b) My homeworld is Tatooine. It's a desert planet in a binary star system.
3) Yes; my friends are here.
4) No; that's a little difficult to think about.
5) I think my friends and I are one of the few that are from a universe consisting of space travel to multiple different planetary systems?
6) We just call it "The Galaxy". I'm not sure if it needs more of a name than that.

2a) If Earth, are there any distinct geological, political, historical (etc) differences from this world? If yes, please elaborate. Our cold war didn't last nearly as long, other wars came and went, and in the summer of 2009 a virus that made the dead start walking wiped out most of the human life on the planet. We don't call them 'zombies' and don't you dare use that word for them, neither. Ain't never heard that word before coming here. If someone new from my world comes in, they ain't gonna know what you're talking about if you try to describe it with that. Just say the dead that walk, or eaters, biters, walkers. 'The dead' works just fine, too. The one's from my world will know it when they hear it.
2b) Does your world or planet have a name? Are there any distinct details or differences that would distinguish it from Earth? How is it different? Don't apply

1. I come from Earth.
2a. This is the odd part! Certain events have happened in both my England and this England, but the details are different. For instance, there's no mention of magic being used in the peninsular wars. In contrast, certain events from my England do not exist in this world at all, most notably any mention of John Uskglass. Also, I cannot access the king's roads at all in this world. Of course, if there was no Uskglass then there probably wouldn't be the roads to begin with and for want of a nail, the shoe was lost, et cetara, et cetera, et cetera.
3. Not in this world. Obviously I'm aware of others from my universe who are back in my universe to begin with.
4. I'm afraid I have no idea of what you're talking about.
5. My England has a history of magic, woven into the very fabric of the country. This England has nothing resembling the sort.
6. To be honest, my first thought was 'The World With the Restoration of English Magic' but that's far too lengthy for my tastes.

Is the world you come from Earth or a different planet? A different planet, called Krynn. From what I can tell, it is smaller than Earth and the years are longer - we only have 336 days. Magic is also present, as are gods and multiple races besides humans.

Are you aware of others from your universe? There have been two others, one of which never came back after dying and one who is still here and is now my ward.

Are you aware of others from a universe which includes a known parallel or alternate version of yourself or people you are familiar with? None as of yet.

Is there anything distinct about your home universe that is not covered in the above questions? Krynn has not advanced technologically beyond what is called the medieval period of Europe on Earth.

Do you have any suggestions for what to name your universe? Not a clue. We only know of two worlds existing in it, and only learned of the second a few decades ago.

6) The only unique difference between my universe and others that I've noticed is the emphasis placed on soccer. I'd suggest referencing that in some way.

1. No "Earth" at all. I'm from the Disc.
2. Like I said, different. Flat, for one thing. Also, it's on the backs of elephants riding a turtle.
3.
2b. The Disc. I mentioned, that, right? And the elephants? The turtle's name is A'Tuin. The Great A'Tuin, if you want to be formal.
2c. I just realized I did your numbering bit wrong, sorry. But in my defense you made it difficult.
3. This one didn't make sense at first, you should work on your wording. But no, there's none of them here.
4. Now I think you're making it difficult on purpose.
5. Oh, magic and things. Vampires, golems, gods and goddesses mucking things up, trolls, imaginary dragons, demons, gnomes, witches and such. All perfectly normal to us of course, but I know how these culture differences work.
6. The Disc should be fine. I guess the "Disc Universe" if you really need to be specific. Although I suppose there might be round worlds in it, so maybe just "Disc World".

1) Earth
2a) As far as I am aware, some of the cities here do not exist on my version of Earth. The Cold War is long over, and there are other recent historical differences, such as the Great Revelation, when vampires revealed their existence to their general public. That does not seem to have happened here, and there appear to be none of the supernatural communities present here that were present on my world. I would go so far as to say that this world does not appear to have its own native supernatural population.
3) Possibly.
4) A woman I know from my world is here, but her world is a somewhat strange parallel to mine. She knows who I am, but the version she knows is not quite me. Our history together is similar but converges at certain points. A companion of her's may be from my version of Earth, but I'm not yet sure.
5) Not to my knowledge.
6) "Fangtasia."

[That last one is such a terrible inside joke, but he's not taking it back.]

[ Yeah, okay, sure. He's bored. ]

1) Earth
2a) Same as a lot of people said. No flying cars, the Cold War ended ages ago, ect.
3) Yeah; quite a few have come and gone from here.
4) Uh... I don't think so? I wouldn't be surprised if that was a thing though.
5) There's a problem with Shadows appearing in different ways and threatening humanity? Not much different from any other normal and dull Earth otherwise.
6) idk; I guess Shadow Earth is fine.

1) We come from a planet called Earth.
2) Earth is divided into four kingdoms. I guess climatically, it's arranged the same. There's the water tribes who exist around the poles, although the southern tribe has almost been wiped out. There were air nomads, who were driven into extinction before I was born, but they lived around temples scattered throughout other kingdoms or uninhabited islands.

There's the Earth Kingdom to the east that's very large and vast. It has deserts, huge cities, etc. Finally, the Fire Kingdom, where I'm from, is in the west and isn't as large but is very refined chain of islands in a volcanic region. Technologically, we're a little behind. We have hot air balloons as the latest military innovation, and, aside from messenger hawks, we have telegrams but that's through the Fire Kingdom only.

3-4) I'm the only representative here from my universe, and I don't think there is an alternative one. That I've seen yet.

5) Our fauna is very unusual compared to here. We also have spirits. Allegedly.

6) Just name it garbageland, because compared to all of the other responses here it's a little ridiculous.

[ Fire Kingdom? Four kingdoms based off of the elements? Is her world even real compared to some of these things she's reading. ]

1. It was Earth. Standard fare as far as I can tell. Year was 2006.
2a. The Cold War is over, we're fine with Russia. I'm sure there's differences re: the Middle East but I'm a future Lit. major so I'm the wrong guy to ask about that. Sorry.
3. No.
4. No.
5. Nobody had superpowers.
6. Scintilla.
