Did anyone see the news story about the business owner in Maurtia Falls this week? The one about Sally Cunliffe, a 68-year-old woman who died of a heart attack? It got Sherlock excited when he first heard it. He called it a suspicious death, so we decided to do a bit digging around to see what we could find out about her.

There are a couple of things we've found that the media didn't report on. Firstly, she had no family history of cardiovascular disease. She was actually in good health and relatively fit for her age when she died. Secondly, she died with a look of terror on her face the police can't explain.

And they still haven't found the person Sally transferred the money to before she died either. Like Sherlock, I found that a bit odd. Most people grab the phone to call for an ambulance when they have chest pain, not send money over.

So now Sherlock thinks she was murdered. He's sure of it. But I was just wondering, has anyone else heard anything about this?

THE MAJORITY REPORT: MAY 10TH, 2017
With this new influx of imPorts and the fallout of the mysterious dreamscape, public opinion has never been so mixed. On one hand: intrigue! New imPorts! On the other: potentially dangerous new imPorts! New threats!

HOSTAGE MEDICATION
As seen on TMI reporting, online and televised:
Hostage situation at a new Customer Savings Solutions Pharmacy in Heropa! Male suspect captured twenty people waiting in line for their medications, threatening to repeal their need for health care.

Strangely, no hostage was harmed and the situation was resolved in mere minutes.

Two female vigilantes are rumored to have broken down and brutally humiliated a male suspect (Caucasian, 5'11''). Confirmed details remain scarce. These vigilantes are reported to have been Amazon warriors from another planet, very likely imPorts.

TYGER, TYGER VIRAL BRIGHT
As seen on BlueTube, Bwitter, Rumblr, Deddit, and some local news networks and small papers in Heropa:
A cellphone video of a chase between imPort superhero Wild Tiger and what appeared to be a repainted ImPocreat has now gone viral, after being featured on a popular imPort fanblogger's recent post. The video, following the escaped Blickablake (eventually identified as belonging to Nonah-based imPort Tetsuo Shima) and its valiant pursuer all through the city, has spawned dozens of gifs and macros, with the hashtag #tigervstiger trending on Bwitter.

Many imPort fans were endeared by the bumbling antics of the superhero known for never using his powers outside of an emergency, but some were less than impressed. Deddit user DownWithImPunks said, "lol look @ dis sad sh!t, our ~heroes~ outsmrted by a machin w/ no brainz. feel rly safe 2day", while others argued the real problem was with Tetsuo for allowing his ImPocreat to run wild in the first place. "It's government property after all," pointed out one noted import critic in his column in a local newspaper, "we can't have that kind of thing falling into the wrong hands. Irresponsibility in this case is a matter of national security."

Meanwhile, BuckStars, the origin point of the chase, has capitalized on the buzz--offering a limited edition Wild Blickablake Bubble Tea free with any purchase of a large drink* and posting a link to the clip on their official website.

NATURAL CAUSE AND EFFECT
As seen on BlueTube and limited local newspaper coverage:
Police in Maurtia Falls have reported the death of Sally Cunliffe, 68. A respected local business owner, Ms. Sally Cunliffe reportedly transferred a large sum of money from her account just prior to her death. The official coroner report indicates that her death was due to a heart attack. Police are not treating the death as suspicious. That being said, authorities would like the recipient of Ms. Cunliffe's funds to come forward to answer a few routine questions, as they have so far been unable to trace them.

WELL PLAYED, YOUNG SPORT
As seen on BlueTube and in Nonah newspapers:
We're midway through this year's national youth soccer championships, and in a surprising turn of events, Nonah Middle School's very own Blue Barracudas are shaping up to be the team to beat!

Although they had a slow start at the beginning of the season, with the majority of the players' performances being described as lackluster, a marked improvement in their playing — believed to be the result of midfielder Yuuto Kidou's expert instruction — has rocketed the team into the front running.

The departure of two key players, co-captain and midfielder Ken Amada and defender Hiroto Kiyama, will no doubt have a monumental impact on the team's range of capabilities going forward, but coach Peyton Chamgerlain has stated that she believes their new lineup will be pivotal in crushing their competition. The Barracudas have elected Yuuto to be their new captain, and with Koujirou Genda rumored to be an unrivaled goalkeeper, and newcomer Jirou Sakuma being welcomed late onto the team as their primary striker, it would seem Chamgerlain has managed to successfully cover for the team's losses, and in record time to boot!

The Blue Barracudas' next match against the Astro Hawks will be held next Friday afternoon. Show your support for these fine youth athletes by sporting the Barracudas' blue and white colors, coming down to Nonah Middle School to watch the game, or by tuning in on BlueTube to watch live coverage brought to you by Nonah Middle School's student body president, Joseph Lee.

bElieve
As seen on Maurtia Falls televised news:
Upon the tallest hill in the city of Maurtia Falls sits a new art installment on the sidewalk. It seems that the guerrilla artiste bElish has struck again! A four foot tall bust made in the likeness of Ambassador Baelish and composed entirely out of synthetic honeycomb has been left on display on top a five-foot tall white podium.

What is the meaning behind this, the public wonders.

[The video screen opens to the Church of the Morningstar, a large, pristine building of white concrete and hard, sharp, modern edges. It's owner, both of the phone in possession and the church in name, stands in front of it wearing a long black overcoat with the collar pulled up on this unseasonably cold day.]

You have no idea how disappointing it is to finally come outside the prison of creation and be surrounded by the ensnarement of worship. And not of anything, but of me most importantly-- something that, I must profess, becomes more tiring by the day. You've all chosen to squander your chance to live by your desires only to build a prison of rules and governing around yourselves. Even here, having left those devices, you've so eagerly baited yourselves again. Let's change that, shall we?

[He waves his hand, and the church in front of him warps and collapses in on itself, a twisting of light that causes its viewers to blink only to be met with an entirely new creation-- a piano bar which reveals itself to intimate prohibition-style decor within. A sexily backlit 1923 Steinway piano ties together a room dotted with small tables perfect for a night of Jazz music and drinks. Lucifer takes a seat and crosses one leg over the other, different looking perhaps than those of the same name imPorts have been familiar with in the past. In fact, he bears a striking resemblance the Thin White Duke.... or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that the Thin White Duke resembled him.]

'Lux'... a name I once chose impertinently to create something of my own in the entrapment of His will, seems a little unsuitable now that I've liberated myself of those titles. A new name, I think, would be more appropriate. Perhaps 'Revīvēscere'.

I've been wondering- [Sabriel's voice is even, thoughtful, but just a bit hesitant.]

What happens after people die, in your worlds? I know what happens in mine, and I have... something of an idea of what happens in this world. There's some sort of afterlife here, but it's inaccessible to any imPort, living or dead. Perhaps that's part of why we're able to be revived and the locals aren't- because we can't pass into this worlds hereafter. [Sabriel's voice shifts, taking on a tone of somber authority.]

In mine... Death is a river with no shores. It starts at the boundary with Life, then flows through nine precincts, each marked by a gate- its current guides all who enter it to follow it, to let it carry them past the Ninth gate, from which none have returned. Those who fight the current, who seek to return to a world that is no longer their own, and linger in Death, seeking to return to Life... the current warps them, and in time, they lose their humanity, growing in power in the process. All they remember is their desire to return to life, at any cost.

[And Sabriel's tone becomes deliberately chipper, like she's forcing a smile.]I understand that some of you come from worlds with similar troubles, though others are blessedly free of such problems. In either case, I'm curious. Is their magic tied to Death in your worlds, or is it just something people have to deal with through mundane methods?

[Once Tina had had everything explained to her, she intended to do... something. Maybe not give a great big speech, but at least say hello, meet the people she'd be living and working with. However, the stage fright kicks in and all that comes out of her mouth is an uncertain groaning noise.]

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

[She shuts up then, and switches to text.]

sorry, I get horrible stage fright sometimes. i guess here it's even worse because I wouldn't think of myself as being superhero material. especially when my powers are

that I can cook really well and pass through things?

And I have a job at a jeans factory, which doesn't fit with either of those. am I at least in good company?

oh, my name's Tina :)

This song and dance again. Never thought I'd...

[The man's voice (deeper, calmer) trails off. There's a long pause, then a raspy chuckle.]

Alrighty. In order'a business...

First, a multiple choice quiz: A, New York City. B, The City. C, The Hive. You only get to pick one, so choose wisely.

Second... hey, brat. Master Blaster? --Aurora Princess. Simba. Any'a you here? [Pause, then tentatively,] You... Alphabet soup gang? Yeah, right. How about you, Cats? Boom-Boom? Spidey-Mama?

[It could be worse, all things considered. A fresh slate meant he could keep his identity under wraps longer. And that, he'd long learned, was invaluable enough.]

[Besides, the government already had his number. Figuratively, if not literally. There's a long pause as he considers all this, then thoughtfully mumbles,] Aaah, it's not worth hiding, is it.
Iron Bot was a goner. I know that. But the chessmaster in the Porter- what'd you guys figure out about her?

Well, as for anyone else... If "Shinigami" rings a bell? Long time no chat.

It would seem business is booming in the import community again. Perhaps we have our ambassadors to thank? Or the Government? Or maybe this is a sign imports are beginning to take command of their destinies?

[Some might find the figure a bit familiar, if they'd had any eye for politics or the history of this world. But instead of the sharp black suit, Revan's lithe frame is adorned with humble robes of earthen browns. He stands in an open facility that looks a bit like a brightly lit garage. Only instead of vehicles there were rows of tools and various machines.]

Regardless, I'm proud of what you've all accomplished thus far.

I'd had the pleasure of meeting an... old friend from my universe. And he rekindled a passion of mine. One I'd like to share with you.

[At that, Revan nods both to the left and right of the screen, as if to signal to someone. But instead of a person, several metallic, creature-like constructs saunter, rolls, and glide into the shot with him. Some are short and squat, rolling around on a tri-pod stand, while a couple seem vaguely humanoid. And even one that could pass for a large, gun-metal cat pacing between a couple of it's companions.]

It's little more than a hobby of mine, but I've decided to open a small shop dedicated to building custom-made droids like the ones you see before you. If you'd like a companion tailored to your needs and tastes, we can work together to create the perfect one for you.

They can be modified with a chassis of your choice, and programmed to fulfill a number of support roles should you have a need: Construction, chores, cleaning and the like. Or they can just a faithful friend. They are quite intelligent, capable of learning and developing with you. So as to grow to be the best companion it can be. But I assure you they are incapable of harming anyone.

[Because he knows everyone's first fear is 'will they become self aware and attempt to kill us all?' The first part is a strong maybe, but the second is a definite no.]

Though I should mention that if you set their development threshold high enough, they may develop interesting quirks that will begin to resemble an actual personality. Should that be something you'd desire from your droid.

[And the twinkle in his eyes clearly expresses his approval of such a course. In a 'sound like fun, no?' sort of way.]
