LUNAR INTERLUDE 5: VIDEO; TAZ SPOILERS?

Hello? This device seems to be for, uh, communication -- so it seemed like it would be best to reach out, uh, on it. I need your help.

[ Lucretia isn't immediately recognizable, unless you know her very well. Her face is less lined, her voice lacks a certain amount of her gravitas, her hair is a bit more blonde than it is stark white, and she's more emotional, more expressive. That, and she looks about thirty years younger, in her early twenties. Luckily, though, she's ready to introduce yourself. ]

My name is Lucretia. I need anybody on this to listen to me, even if it's kinda weird. This is... This is really fucking important.

Has anyone seen a light fall from the sky? Or has anyone heard about a strange light that, or, uh, anything that suddenly turned up that's very powerful?

I don't know if the others are already looking for it, I think we must have gotten separated - but just in case I'm the last one left, I need to find it. I need to find it before the Hunger gets here. Please.

We call it the Hunger because it devours worlds. The sky turns dark, the colours drain from reality and it sends its -- for lack of a better term, its armies down to ravage the worlds and find the Light of Creation. With its power it can eat planes of existence, adding them to itself, becoming bigger, more powerful. And it won't stop. You can't -- you can't stop it from coming. But if we can find the Light of Creation first, if we can get it away from it it won't be able to consume this reality.

[ She's not really used to being the one to make this spiel, and so she's nervous. But she sounds absolutely certain this is a thing that's true. ]

So, uh, like I said. Really fucking important.

[ Some people's worlds are insane. ]

I have not seen the Light. And if I do, I will let you know, of course. This doesn't sound like something anyone would wish on this universe. But are you certain it would follow you here? The porter is typically rather strong at keeping the threats from other universes at bay...

Unless those threats are the people, of course.

It always follows. If it's not here yet, it might take a few days but it'll come. But - but what do you mean by "the Porter"? What's that?

[maevelous]

The machine responsible for bringing us here, darling. It's the reason we've all been allowed to step foot in this world. And from what I've come to understand, it is very strong. A force to be reckoned with. It should be able to keep things at bay -- at least temporarily.

[journalkeeper]

I wasn't brought here by a machine -- well I mean, the ship maybe -- [ She hesitates. She doesn't remember landing here in the Starblaster either. ] Actually, I, uh, don't remember arriving here at all.

How powerful is the Porter, really? How do you know it can save this world?

[maevelous]

All of these people talking to you are from worlds outside of this one -- worlds the porter can access. It chose to bring us here. And only the ones it chooses are the ones that can pass. To my knowledge, there has never been an instance where the porter lost control and started allowing all manner of things through.

[ Though some of the people it brings here are....questionable. ]

It is the barrier to this world. And as far as I'm aware, until it activates once again, nothing is getting through.

[journalkeeper]

[ ...huh. That's not what she was expecting. ]

I thought -- I don't remember being brought here, I assumed I landed on this world the normal way.

[ But there was no real proof of that either. Now she's just filled with questions. ]

Are there really people from other worlds here? What world are you from? How strong is the barrier?

Most everyone on this network, save for the people you already know, are from different worlds. Mine...well, it's difficult to explain. I imagine it is some version of Earth. A bit more advanced than this version. And you'll find many people from their own versions of Earth as well -- each with a bit of a unique twist.

[ Shaking her head. ]

As for the barrier's strength. Well, I cannot personally say. But the only thing the porter has brought through has been...well, I don't want to say people per se, since there are some different creatures, robots, and talking animals. But intelligent beings, I suppose. Never entire entities.
