I disagree with the public's decisions and it was a very poor showing, however congratulations to the new Ambassadors of Maurtia Falls.

You will have your hands full dealing with the corruption there. Even if your campaigns were not so focused on dealing with it, that does not make it disappear. Bribery and gifts can only take you so far.

As for myself, I will leave this area and seek a less unpleasant place in which to take up residence. It remains a shame that we cannot generally travel off-world to seek better planets, apart from these rare missions. Your galaxy is very limited.

[ Adachi paused, his face scrunching up for a moment, desperately trying not to laugh at the mental image that came to mind. ]

...a-actually, I'm more worried about you being scared of her.

[ Nope, he can't; he has to turn away a moment so his laughter isn't quite so loud. ]

[He's defensive but has no idea who or what Adachi may be talking about.]

[ Adachi's place is pretty easy to find; it's an almost homely two story in the middle of a quaint little neighborhood, complete with kids playing and people keeping up with their yards. His neighbor looked up as Grievous approached, giving him a wave, before going right about his business. ]

[ Adachi clearly hadn't been kidding when he said his neighbors wouldn't be phased. ]

[It may help that, respectfully, Grievous has arrived in his human form. He recalls a time when that would be a chance to be incognito but now most people probably know from his network posts that Sheelal and Grievous are one and the same. He steps up to the door and knocks.]

It's open!

[ Adachi's voice called from inside. As soon as Grievous would open the door, however, he would be greeted by a small, dog-like creature with shiny blonde fur. She stared him down intently, like she was judging him. ]

[generalgrievous]

[Grievous pauses, staring back intently. He's not sure what to make of the small creature yet. He expects it to have the first word but when it says nothing he finally greets.]

Hello there.

[sleight_of_hand]

[ Riza stared at him, her tail swishing back and forth, like she was annoyed by him being there. She finally got up from where she was sitting, pawing over and sniffing at him delicately. ]

[generalgrievous]

[He takes a step backward, frowning.]

[sleight_of_hand]

[ Riza jerked back as well, growling softly. ]

Riza? What's wrong?

[ A shuffling sound followed Adachi's voice, though that didn't stop Riza from growling at Grievous, little snow flakes escaping from her mouth. ]

So this is the infamous Riza... Will they let me pass?

[ Riza quieted a little, her tail swishing again. Human had a funny, not-human smell, and she couldn't tell if he was actually safe or not. Fortunately, Adachi stuck his head out into the hallway at that moment, blinking over at him. ]

Oh, hey. Riza, it's okay.

[ Riza let out a little huff at that, but took her human dad's word for it, pawing away and rubbing up against Adachi's legs as she went. ]

That was quite the greeting.

[He notes wryly.]

Am I welcome here?

[sleight_of_hand]

Yeah, of course, c'mon in.

[ Adachi waved him over to the "office" portion of the house, showing him into a sitting room, obviously used for talking to clients, or reclining on the couch while working. Riza's curled up on it, staring Grievous down, her tail flicking back and forth, but otherwise not getting up. There's a desk in view, loaded down with a laptop and folders of paperwork, and just beyond that, a small kitchenette for making coffee and small snacks. ]

There's this one down here, or the one upstairs. Upstairs I got a kotatsu, which is nice on the rare days it's cold.

[He appears a little on edge, not yet sitting down.]

[ Riza let out a faint yip at that. ]

[ Adachi plopped down at his desk, filing away some of his more sensitive paperwork. ]

Iris comes by every now and then. Oh, and since Akira's back, he'll probably stop in a few times too.

[ He should probably mention that Akira's idea of "stopping in" was more breaking in. But does he? Naaaaah. ]

Only rule I have is no going into my files. Client privilege and all that.
