Good evening, everyone.

[ Sabrina is posting late at night, around 11 PM. Not unhealthy-late, but late enough so that most people are probably settling in for the night, not browsing through video posts on the network. Even at this hour, she's put together, glamorous, as if she's timed it strategically for the night crowd. At her side is a yellow goblin-creature that goes by Hypno, about five feet tall, but with thick, sturdy limbs. He's on his best behavior, for once, waving to the camera from their spot cozied up on the couch. ]

Since I've come here, I've learned very quickly of the unpredictable traumas this place has in store. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about that, but I can offer some relief. [ Then, the screen moves to show just Hypno, and he gives a biiiiig smile for the camera. ] This is Hypno. He's a Pokemon whose diet consists mostly of dreams. He can put you to sleep, pull your dreams from your subconscious, and devour the psychic energy.

[ Appetizing. The screen moves back to her, friendly, but vaguely concerned people may find this proposition...odd. ]

He gets to eat, and you get eight hours of peaceful, dreamless sleep. Don't worry about disturbing him, he thinks nightmares are tastiest. Any takers?

I am not aware of the content of the dreams he eats.

[Roland nods slightly.]

And is he?

[He doesn't want to give the creature those memories either.]

He is, but he'll forget most of them quickly, just like people.

[He hums thoughtfully.]

That may be true, but the nightmares that keep me up at night... I can't say they're something I'd wish upon anyone, even someone who might find them... "Tasty".

[What a weird thing to say about nightmares.]

Whatever it is, Hypno can handle it. No pressure, but I wouldn't worry about him.

Forgive me for asking but... how can you be so certain? Some people... or... I suppose in this case Poke...mon...? [He thinks that's what she called him.] appear tougher than they are.

[Roland is certainly not talking from experience. Nope.]

Like I said, we share a psychic bond. If he were scared by something, I would know. I'm aware of his limits.

[Roland nods slightly, satisfied with her answers. He just... had to be sure.]

There's a chance I might take you up on the offer, though it seems like your offer's become a popular one.

It looks more popular than it is. Other people think he's creepy.

It was certainly... a surprise to learn what he's capable of, but I don't think anyone should fault him for doing what he was born to do.

Exactly. [ Good that someone outside her world understands. She likes him already. ] Would you like to meet him?

[Admittedly, this would be more to take in had he not just lived among fairies and catboys and mermaids. His idea of the incredible is a lot different than what it used to be.]

If it wouldn't be too much trouble.

Quite the opposite, actually, the more people in this world that get comfortable for Pokemon, the better, I think.

Are many people wary of these pokemon?

A lot of the natives of this world are. It's not something they're used to seeing.

I can only imagine.

Seeing monsters for the first time was certainly a shock for me as well.

[Granted, he thought he was dead at the time so... that helped lessen the shock.]

He's not a monster.

Er... Forgive me, I didn't mean to insult him.

In my last world... monsters weren't necessarily a bad thing. There were these creatures called Higgledies. They could only be seen by people with a pure heart Oh god this sounds crazy, doesn't it? And were much smaller than Hypno there.

[Somewhere, back in Evermore, Auntie Martha is yelling at him for calling Higgledies monsters again.]

[ Hypno are a misunderstood species, even back in her world. You'll have to excuse her for being defensive of him. ]

Higgledies... [ A cute name! ] That doesn't sound crazy to me. There are hundreds of kinds of Pokemon, all different in their own way. I've heard of stranger!

Do the... [He pauses to avoid saying the word "monster" again by mistake.] pokemon all get along?

More or less. They have their own personalities, just like people do. But we're a team, and they understand that.

[ Espeon has little patience for Hypno playing pranks, but other than that, it's peaceful. ]

A team? What are you defending against?

[This is so different from the realm of monsters he once resided in. (Then again... had he been transported to the world many, many years earlier, it would be slightly more familiar.)]

We're not against anything. We build each other up, develop our powers in unity.

[Well that...sounds like a slogan.

Roland tugs at the base of his ponytail and smiles sheepishly.]

The word "team" typically implies that there's opposing sides, even if in a friendly sense, like in sports...

We battle competitively, so like a sport, yes.
