Uhh... So... question. Is anyone in Nonah growing like some sort of human-shaped topiary or something?

[He holds up the hand. Other than the leaves sticking out of it, it looks almost... lifelike.]

Because if so, Ace just kind of ate it. Er... broke it? I don't think dogs eat bushes.

[Look, Terry's trying his hardest to be a good dog owner, but he can't possibly know everything.

For his part, Ace doesn't seem the least bit guilty about this.]

Sorry?

[He glances down at Ace.]

Is this something I have to worry about? You eating bushes?

You can sleep near the window, not out in the bushes where, apparently, dogs that eat plant people are roaming about. That should be close enough.

[From his stern tone, it's clear he's not taking any arguments onboard. But he does relax a little bit at the agreement.]

I could get your arm back for you. Probably.

The bush was nice.

[He could always climb a tree next time he wants to sleep amongst the leaves.]

Oh! That's not a problem. It uh, grows back?

The couch is also nice. [He made damn sure of that.] I've slept in a couple of bushes myself, and they're never as nice as a couch. Or a bed.

[A beat. Then a sigh.]

How long does that usually take?

[When he thinks about it he's a little surprised he didn't miss having a bed more when he was sleeping on top of Finn and Jake's(nice, leafy) roof. But he like, would have stolen Finn's for "I want my life back" reasons more than anything, so.]

Not that long, actually. Still annoying to wake up because some butt's ripping your hand off.

That's what happens when you sleep outside in the bushes when there's a perfectly nice house not ten feet away.

[He's a bit of a grumpy boy, sometimes.

Also he's actually coming in the house now. Waving his hands in the air to show that he has two again.]

You know, I was raised by dogs and none of them would've done this to me.

[Or well, technically Finn was and he has Finn's memories, but close enough.]

Sounds friendlier than the ones who raised me. One of them almost ripped my leg off while I was peacefully sleeping.

[He’s lying, he was never raised by dogs. But one eyebrow does go up in surprise, because he’d been ready to fight a dog to get this kid’s arm back. Thankfully that won’t happen, because Molly doesn’t want to fight a dog.]

For Ace's part, he looks for about a fraction of a second in the direction of the communicator after hearing his name, then yawns and goes to find a corner to lay down in.

I think he wanted to tell me he wants to play fetch, but he also barely tolerates fetch so what do I know.
