Maybe. Vulcanus and our suspiciously-named liaisons are one thing, but most of these cities were founded well before the war. It's possible that the roots to whatever holds us here go back that far into this world's history, but unlikely.

Perhaps you've heard this one before. More than four years ago, Lachesis used her power to create six new countries. I won't pretend to know her reasoning -- it doesn't matter anyway.
