It is best to take precautions, you may not need him but it's better than ending up in legal trouble and not having someone to advocate for you.

If you do have any unfortunate encounters with Aegis, let me know. I'm hoping to establish a type of oversight organization to keep Aegis in check, to keep them from abusing their power further.
