No idea what an Asgardian is. I thought Asgard was a fictional place in Earth history?

Apparently it was never fictional. It's a recent discovery, we learned their a militant society with super strength and god power who we apparently...worshipped at some point.

That's always kind of bothered me honestly. Let us build a fictional belief system around them then retreat? Come on. but I've never asked Thor.
