Who here works with law enforcement or is a qualified cop or a detective? Or maybe you were and they gave you some ridiculous job instead.
I need to know what job opportunities there are in this area. I want to get officially back to my work as a detective.
Currently, I'm located in Jeopardy but I'm originally from Pennsylvania so Maurtia Falls would also be of interest. I want to know what positions are available, in any of the Porter cities.
Thank you for your time and attention.

Running fast and being able to get through solid objects would sure make my job a lot easier catching those who took that easier path.

Just because the bad guys are toting around sub-compact machine guns doesn't mean we should give them to cops so they can match fire rates. Same thing with powers. Sometimes countering one power with another just leads to a lot more collateral damage.

Plus there are always side effects, right? Nothing comes free.

It's a double-edged sword because while sometimes having the right guy on speed-dial is going to save lives, well, my best friend once accidentally burst a gas main instead of a water main trying to put out a major fire. Even the best intentions cost lives and/or money. Sometimes I think the only reason San Francisco let us built Titans Tower there was because we were right there to respond when they moved high-security supervillains into Alcatraz.

They gave me powers here but it's something I'll only use in emergencies. I can rely on myself otherwise.

I mean, on one hand, knowing exactly what you can and can't do with the skills you have is never a bad thing, but sometimes the mistakes are costly.
My own example would be catching bullets from blanket automatic fire. I was just lucky the one I missed only grazed a friend's arm. He was so proud of that battle scar, but I had nightmares for weeks.

Unfortunately, I've had to learn that you can't always save everyone. But of course that's no reason to stop trying.

But like you said, there's no reason to stop trying, even knowing you won't always win, or even end in a draw.
I wish the other guy with your face understood even half of that. And for that, you have my deepest sympathies.
