[it doesn't take terribly long for joseph kavinsky to show up at the free clinic. it would of course have gone much faster if he were not in fact quite injured, which is what happens when you terrorize violent people then fail to defend yourself when they retaliate. it's completely his fault, and he might even arrive in a neighborhood adjacent to that realization soon.

but for now, he show sup at the clinic. his lip is split, still swollen. both his eyes are black, somehow, but one blacker than the other, matching ronan's dominant hand. his jaw is still clicking funny and bruises mottle his forehead, his cheek. he can't really see very well and takes a moment to negotiate the door, his hand missing the door handle once.

despite that, his clothes remain immaculately preppy. golf shirt, khaki slacks. he looks like a harvard rowing club frat boy who accidentally slept over at a biker bar, in his second life, after the original was spent as a tattooed hipster.]
