[ instinctively, there's a part of him that recoils, shuddering, at the idea, thinking of the flesh and jared hopworth and the pain of the boneturner reaching in to remove his ribs. but this isn't.. home. his disconnection from-- from everything would be reason enough to believe that even if he couldn't believe the normal sky and the people and the lack of the panopticon on the horizon.

this person is not connected to the flesh. he is.. something else altogether. ]


To what extent can you cause these changes? [ and then, because it occurs to him in some distant, untraumatized part of his brain that he's being very abrupt and martin would click his tongue at him: ] If you don't mind my asking.
