Heyooo! I'm back, apparently. This planet hasn't changed much. Is the world still ending? I remember that being a thing. We should have an end of the world party if it is! Or one celebrating that it's not the end of the world if it isn't anymore! I've been in a void for a long time, a guy wants to get inebriated, y'know?

[a beat, then:] Oh, can someone show me how to drive? I can turn into a car now as well as a boat. Pretty cool. I won't do it drunk, promise. Maybe.

[ True to form, Magnus comes trundling over not too long afterwards - well, longer than Riptide probably likes; he has to bus there, after all - at a sprint, waving one meaty hand above his head. ]

[it's none too long-- riptide entertains himself with the small crowd that had gathered around him. can't help but wonder where most of his fans are... maybe he should run for mayor again!

...anyway, he stands up and leans over magnus, casting a huge shadow and putting his hands on his upper thighs to peer down.]

Woooow, you haven't changed at all in five hundred years!

That's because it hasn't been five hundred years, stud! [ Magnus says, unable to help standing on his tiptoes and leaning back to get a better look at him. ] I'll be dead in five hundred years! And if I'm not, I give you permission to squash me yourself!

[ The gift of eternal life is a hell of a thing, and Magnus wants nothing to do with it. ]

Is that how long it's been for you? Five hundred years?

Nice. I'll wear some special stompin' boots for it.

[cybertronians have... a twisted sense of time. at three and a half million years old, riptide doesn't find five hundred years to be too long. he expects he'll be alive for another three and a half million, maybe more.]

Uhhh... five hundred years, five minutes, five thousand. Not sure. Void time!

Appreciate it! I refuse to be a bloody smear on anything but the finest shoes, thank you very much. Just make sure to say something nice at my funeral. Maybe something about how hard I was to stomp, considering my enormous muscles.

[ Magnus has a good chuckle with himself before he pats Riptide on the side of his leg affectionately. It is good to see him again. Riptide has always been a good time, and Magnus doesn't know many people here he lets off steam with in quite that way.

Riptide's relative amorality may have something to do with it, but hey! Magnus won't tell! ]

[riptide gives him a pleased grin before transforming into his new car alt mode. it's nothing... incredible, unless you haven't seen him transform before. his car alt is a strangely futuristic-looking sports car, though clunky and big at the same time. the perfect visual example of an anachronism.

he pops the driver door open.]

Dunno. I came back here from the time I was before, don't remember anything from the time I was ported out.

[ Magnus whistles. ] Damn! You're no battlewagon, but I've never seen one like this before. [ He runs one hand along the door admiringly - shit, is that creepy? - before hopping in and grabbing the wheel, drumming his fingers on it. ]

Then no time's passed for you! Hey, can you feel everything I'm doing in here? Like, is this your shoulder I'm riding on? [ He taps the wheel. ] Is this your nose?

[knaval]

Uh, yes. You're sitting on... part of my chest, I think.

[the voice seems to come from everywhere in the car, but can probably be localised to the wheel pretty easily.]

Doesn't feel too different from having a passenger on my boat mode, actually.

Huh! Well, as long as you're comfortable. What say you we take, uh... you... for a joyride! Now, I've never actually handled a vehicle, here, so let's just see how far my proficiency gets us.

[ This is a terrible idea. He grabs ahold of the wheel. His foot begins to press on one pedal. ]
