[After going through a period of doubt in his life and finding himself with this strange new beginning, Quentin Beck pulls himself together and finds the confidence to announce himself on the network. He feels it's expected that he make it a big and broad first appearance so he's gone all out, wearing his Mysterio costume, his face hidden under that distinctive fishbowl helmet and speaking as if he was playing to the back rows at a large theatre.]

Greetings to the people of this alternate Earth! I am Mysterio, former supervillain and member of the Sinister Six.

Now, do not fear, as I have come in peace.

[Did that sound like he was an alien? He quickly goes on.]

I mean only that you need not fear Mysterio. I am retired!

Why am I still wearing this costume? Well! That is for recognizability. It's my brand and very few have witnessed my true face... But be assured I will work with you all here to... whatever ends needed to achieve our goals.

[He's unclear about what that is and he trails off, that uncertainly setting in again and his shoulders sag, his voice quieter at the last.]

I just... wanna be given a chance. So help a fellow out, huh?

[It may be noticed that the voice and the costume itself are different to the Mysterio that had been here before. Still, that could be a trick.]

There... was a note in the file I was given that there was some alternate universe version of myself here before... Is that who you're talking about?
