Though if we're talking about more recent history lessons, maybe someone will have better luck tracing the Vanir than I have. It definitely existed as some sort of group, but any online references I find lead to offline sites and missing files. Though if we want to be tongue in cheek over allusions to mythology, we may as well point out that taking over the Hornets as a name is a rebirth of sorts - and the Hornets coming out of Nonah has it's own humor, but that's... not anything. Too many nights looking at mythology references, most which don't even agree with each other.
