I don't mean to say that natural talent is something that absolutely and under no circumstances exists, but it wouldn't be talent if it were ubiquitous. Perhaps exceptions will exist, but the number of cases that would suffer no discomfort during that sort of transition would be marginal enough to count only as an outlier!

When adjusting to a missing limb, I think natural talent would mostly be a factor in the length of that adjustment. Some are bound to take to it more quickly than others. A for natural talent as a general principle, I think...it probably isn't something necessarily to depend on. If it occurs, it occurs, but you won't know until it does. Focusing on it too much distracts from the importance of developing skills.

But, because you focus on that, I suppose it's my turn to ask. If you could only have natural talents, but in areas that are completely and objectively useless, or have to spend the entirety of your life developing skills important to you while attaining mastery was impossible, which would be your choice?
