[There's a cut on the Iron Bull's face, and he's holding himself with the care of someone who knows damn well he's hurt something important and doesn't want to make any sudden motions. There may also be glass stuck in one of his horns. More small abrasions decorate his torso. Looks like the aftermath of Motorcycle vs. The Iron Bull didn't end well for anyone.]

[As he records, he's moving gingerly across the house to deposit one (1) unconscious lump of teenager -- namely the Problem Child Tetsuo himself -- into a room. Probably his own room. Only after that's done, does Bull address the camera.]

Hey. Got a message for you, network.

[One might say he forgot it was on, but it's also more likely this was purposeful. Demonstrating the kid is in hand, put somewhere safe and no longer charging through the streets.]

Dear Whoever the Fuck Made Tetsuo's Bike,

You should have made it Bull-Proof.

[It's at this point, he holds up a certain finger on the hand still possessing all of its fingers. Wow, Bull, stay classy. He's about to turn the feed off when someone else pipes in, from somewhere else in the house--]

And would someone come heal my big, dumb boyfriend! Please?

[THANKS CHARLIE. Bull makes a sudden face, and hurries to mash the OFF button.]

There's a difference of who did what with what intention. Tetsuo-san's been making mistakes, but this one was on Mr Bull.

I guess it's good he's back home now instead of out there.

Mm, yeah.

[Ken's smile is quiet but so, so genuine.]

Tetsuo's going to be less of a jerk now, right?

[Dipper's pretty skeptical.]

Haha. A nice Tetsuo-san won't be Tetsuo-san. He'll probably be really, really angry. [he laughs] But he's home. That's what's important.

You must have been pretty worried.

[amadaman]

We all were. But... but as long as he's alive and here, there's always a chance to try again.

That's surprisingly optimistic of you.

[HE IMMEDIATELY DROPS THE SMILE]

It's a nicer way of saying all hope is lost once you're dead-dead.

What's the difference between dead-dead and regular dead again?

[amadaman]

Ah, um...

Dead-dead is when you're not here because the Porters brought you in after you died in your home-world.

[ursawhiner]

That can happen?!

[amadaman]

Yeah, I know a bunch of them.

[And so do you, he doesn't say, because he's not about to say who they are and he doesn't want Dipper to fret about knowing about some of his friends being dead]

That's kind of freaky. So if they ever go home...

[He lets the sentence trail off uncertainly.]

Yeah.

Unless their spirits can be conscious after their bodies perish in their home-worlds, once they go, they're gone.

[You have every right to be skeptical, Dipper.]

[He's happy, really. Brb flopping on the couch, completely exhausted.]

[Dipper pulls his legs up so Kaneda has more room on the couch.]

Didn't think so. That seems like it's just part of his personality.

[He appreciates it, Dipper, putting his own legs up on that coffee table. There's a soft smile as he exhales, letting his muscles finally relax.

It was a rush home, okay.]

'Pain in the ass'? Yeah, definitely his default.


[And yet you sound so relieved.]

Ugh! I'm glad for you guys, but seriously. It was so much quieter without him.

[He reaches a hand over from the back of the couch, ruffling that hat down over his eyes.]

Ehhh don't worry about it. We've got this.


[He had to admit, he can see Dipper's point of view, and despite the tone he's actually...really trying hard not to freak out.]

[He huffs and pushes his hat back into place.]

I trust you guys. Mostly.

[rassera]

Mostly? What part don't you trust about this? [A small gesture to himself.]

[Oh you know, probably the part about the bosozoku biker who gets into fights on the regular and comes home littered in bruises that might be a slight reason just saying no judging.]

You're totally safe with me around.


[Yeah, pulling his hair to get a demon to say 'ow' really helps this argument.]

Maybe it's more that I don't trust Tetsuo. But you and Ken and Bull can handle him. Obviously.

[rassera]

[Okay, he's got a point there. Not even Kaneda fully trusted Tetsuo, and they were lifelong friends at this point.]

You could always sneeze a cat at him.
