[When the feed is turned on, it's completely dark for a moment, though the distinct sound of rustling and a little bird chirping can be heard in the background. Soon the large purple ear that had been blocking the camera pulls back, and Malfurion can finally be seen looking inquisitively over the device. On his antler sits a small bird, who seems to be looking at the device as curiously as he is, and Malfurion seems to have no issue conversing with it about his technology dilemma.]

Oh! There we are, now let's see... they said that people communicate over these contraptions. I know I have heard it speaking. Seems terribly impersonal though. [The little bird simply hops along his antler and ruffles its feathers in response.] Goodness, I am getting far too old for this. It almost looks Gnomish, it can hardly be safe...

[And then suddenly there are faces on the screen, and he gets such a start that he drops the device on the ground, and the little bird flies off, just as surprised as the old druid. And just before the fees cuts he lets out one final exclamation.]

[Well.. sort of see? Could this be considered seeing someone? It seemed far too impersonal, but not treating it as such felt rude. So he was just going to act like he just ran into her on the street.

He gets a chuckle out of her words, he knew he was being poked fun of, though he also knew it was in good fun... and that he likely merited it. Kids these days and their strange trinkets.]

I think I shall stick to the basics for now. I don't think my heart could handle any more surprises.

[Well, since he wasn't quite sure the proper etiquette for such devices, he would just act as though they were just meeting on the street, or something like that. It would probably be awkward, but anything else felt rude.]

[Y'know. He really doesn't want to sound mean to the little guys, but the record of their contraptions going haywire and running amok, or even just outright exploding, wasn't really all that easy to ignore.]

Well, they usually don't work as intended.

Not quite. It's not too difficult to visit people in person more often than not, otherwise we use letters.

Why not? I have been pleasantly surprised by those here. Most have been naught but friendly, with few exceptions. However, being the only one of my kind here, I truly expected far worse.

[He was not so naive to think that fear would not be the initial response to one as strange as he, but aside from some social clumsiness and a few bad eggs, he had been treated very well over all. Especially considering he was certain he was bumbling up human customs on hi end.]

I am far more used to being able to speak in person more often than not, or by letter, along with various other ways. [No, he is not explaining Emerald Dream things today.] But most involve being near to the other person in one way or another.

Truly? Your kind are not terribly uncommon where I am from, be you Drakonid or Dragonspawn, I have encountered many variations of both. They are one of the oldest species on Azeroth.

[And shockingly enough, older than him.]
