Touching base with The Boss (er, probably more like former boss, technically, as they're not in their world any longer) when she saw his post -- and pleasantly surprised at his presence here as well -- became first priority for her.]

[When she starts this video off with the introduction, her accent is Eastern European, probably unfamiliar for most to completely pin down; Sokovia also didn't get much attention in her universe, anyway (not before Ultron), so even the Sokovian accent may be unfamiliar to many from her own world as well. Though, to those with a Serbia as well in the universes from which they hail from, before they arrived in this one, they might think she sounds vaguely Serbian, but that's as close as they'll probably be able to come. Assuming they're familiar with the Serbian accent at all.

Appearance-wise, she has long and dark hair, Caucasian, mid-twenties, and the makeup on her face is mostly just dark eyeliner and red lipstick. She's changed into something a little less obvious than her Avengers outfit that she arrived here in, so no shot of a fancy costume for you people today, sorry.]

I am new here, and skipping the usual round of questions from others who have recently arrived -- [She's already flicked back a few entries on this network device, browsing through it before broadcasting this video. It's how she came across Steve's very recent post.] -- but since I have already seen one man on the network who is familiar to me, I thought I would take a 'roll' -- [English expressions for things are so weird sometimes.] -- and see if there is anyone else here who may be familiar with me. So? [That's her cue for people to introduce themselves.]

And a last general question: The information I was given has my housing in the Nonah apartment complex. If anyone could tell me their favorite places in the city -- to visit, to eat, whatever -- I would appreciate that and will accept all suggestions.

I do have to say on a semi related note that I think having many degrees are overrated. I don't even have one, not on a university or college level, but that is a longer story as to why. Point is, coursework isn't everything.

[Newt looks comically devastated because, while he mostly agrees with you (he got most of his degrees while being too young to do much else with his time and education...the guy started MIT in his teens), HOW COULD YOU! Wanda! He thought you were his friend! His friend! Ok, he doesn't actually know you, but how could you pick that NERD'S SIDE over NEWT'S??!!

Hey, I still think you seem alright! I don't even know anything you guys said about what these degrees are in, anyway, but I would be curious. Honestly it was like listening to a nicer version of Tony Stark.

Yeeeeaaaahhh.... I'd say something here, trust me, but Hermann's reminding me that I'd like to keep my job.

That's good, at least. You didn't get to use all your degrees at home?

Oh no, I did. Thing was, I didn't get PAID much the last few years. Funding for my department sort of DIED as the war amped up, even though, ha, guess what won us the war? K-Science.

[divaricate]

That seems like a bit of irony .. hey you're doing good work so let's cut your funding. [where is the logic in that? spoilers: there is none.]

How is K-Science not like regular science though?

Isn't it though? Ironic.

K-Sci is Kaiju Science. We were fighting, well, do you know what Godzilla is? Basically that. Kaiju. Monsters. And the higher ups decided they wanted to build a wall to keep the monsters out--Spoiler! Didn't work!--instead of continuing to fund the robots we used to fight the Kaiju... So, they dwindled down our resources and department, funneled it to the Wall instead. Hermann and I were the only members of K-Sci by the time the war ended, when there used to be literally teams of people in different bases all along the Pacific.

Oh. Things like that. [Her eyes grow slightly wide.] And why is it that governments always like the idea of walls and they turn out to be the worst idea ever? [seriously though.]

We've had aliens raining down on cities in my world, so ... unfortunately, I think I can relate to parts of this scenario more than I would like.
