Discipline is the backbone of security, without which liberty perishes. Unfortunately it is a balance easily tilted too far by the foolish... or the corrupt.

I am also from a universe without America. But I am no stranger to politics. I have seen this before: the slow creep of tyranny into a republic. The rot is not easily cured once it has set in.
