A fine example. Most rational beings accept that killing must be regulated and punished for the sake of a stable, secure civilization.

But even the most peaceful of societies has a role for force to play, if only in defending its boundaries or seizing criminals. And when it comes time for violence to break loose, those who fight with passion will have an advantage over those who lack the same motivation.

So you see Sasaki, even the urge to take a life can be made to serve a greater good. It is all a matter of proper discipline... of control.

[Does this sound like a familiar line of reasoning, Sasaki? It would to Ken Kaneki...]
