[ Those who know Rose might have realized she kind of, uh, dropped off the radar. So to speak. The woman was doing her job, trying to blend in but she’s hit a bit of a hiccup in all that. Asking for help isn’t something she actually likes to do. In fact, she tries to avoid bothering people with her problems at all costs. This time though it’s kind of unavoidable.

At least everyone seems to not be crazy anymore. ]

Hey, everyone! I have... a question, for the masses. [ The smile she started with begins to wane... Gosh, this is a lot harder than she thought it’d be. The blond sighs and runs a hand through her hair and composes herself once more. ]

So, I’m sure I’m not the first one to have this problem, but... Does anyone else have any issues, like, controlling their powers?

[ Well. She feels she needs to explain, so- ]

I mean. I like music. Anyone who knows me knows that. So I like to play guitar and let my voice out around town in cafes, parks... No problem, right? I thought it wouldn’t be. It wasn’t back home. But then I started realizing people are influenced by it. I caused a brawl the other night in a biker bar by singing some Disturbed. The dudes listening to me just got, like, super angry out of nowhere and then started fist fighting!

I didn't really think of it until the other day, I was playing like a, uh, relaxing song in the park and before I knew it people were falling asleep on their feet around me. That's when I realized it was me causing these weird things to happen with my music.

What’s gonna happen when I sing a sexy song, huh? I don’t wanna be in that monthly report thing as the chick responsible for some spontaneous orgy!

[ So, she’s... a lot more panicked about this than she was originally trying to let on. Whoops. ]

I just. I want to keep singing and playing music, but I don’t wanna mess with people! If anyone wants to, like, help me figure it out or give some advice I’d… I’d really appreciate it. Thanks.

What if you only sing dance songs and create the world's best flash mobs? Like the world's biggest Hokey Pokey? Who could be mad about being part of that? I'd be pumped to be in on it!

I suppose the only thing you can do is focus on what feels different when you play your music. Even if you are tapping into your power subconsciously, something must feel different from usual. Once you identify what that is, you have a better means of controlling it.

That sounds like an awesome power -- who says messing with people's always a bad thing? Just enjoy it.

Speaking as someone with powers tied to music- Mr. Baelish is right. Recognizing when you are- or are not- using your power is the first step to controlling it.

Uhm, sometimes. Also when I play guitar. And it's not every song, so I don't know.

[ Well. She can at least appreciate him trying to make light of it. Since if this wasn't her and she was trying to calm down someone else, she'd probably try to find the silver lining too.

She's actually just going to ignore that he's green for right now. That isn't the weirdest thing she's seen here. ]

Okay, so, instantly creating flash mobs would be pretty awesome. I'll give you that. But what if someone, like, has a deep rooted hatred of dance or something?

I. I'll try. I'm just, like, scared now of making people do stuff against their will.

[ One of the downsides to powers where she hadn't though there to be any before. Her original optimistic shine is unfortunately starting to fade just a little. ]

And, I mean, asking people to help is kind of scary too. 'Hey, mind listening to me play music? You might totally want to stab someone or feel like becoming a dancemaster after but don't worry.'

[ Sarcasm is coping, right? ]

Look, as a lover of funny harmless pranks I can totally agree sometimes messing with people isn't a bad thing.

[ STILL. ]

But I can't enjoy this! I'm not setting up pranks, I'm just making people do stuff they don't wanna'! That sucks!

That seems a lot easier said than done.

[ Especially when you have an aversion to asking people for help. ... And not a lot of people to ask in the first place regardless. ]

But, I mean, I guess it's good to know I'm not alone in the musical powers category at least.

The only difference between what you're doing now and a prank is that you're not letting yourself enjoy it. I mean, come on -- get a little perspective.

Find volunteers- preferably those with some supernatural awareness- and practice in an isolated area.

And despite what some others have suggested, using a power that controls people for pranks isn't really acceptable.

I don't know. The effects were different both times, I can't remember if I felt any different...

I'd. I'd probably need to do it again. Test it out.

I don't actually think that's how it works. here's a lot of difference between a perhaps mildly upsetting surprise and suddenly making someone so angry they wanna' fight people or a narcoleptic against their will.

[ Controlling people isn't the same; it isn't fun. Controlling the circumstances, maybe, but pranks are also so everyone gets a good laugh. That bar brawl wasn't a fun time for anyone involved. ]

[ Hrrrrggghhh, finding people to help... Maybe she'll just not sing or play ever again instead how about that. ]

I'll... do my best, I guess.

No, I know. I mean. Pranks aren't about controlling people anyway! They're about, like, surprising them and everyone getting a good laugh in the end. [ Sighs. ] This? This isn't fun to me.

Then you can open their heart to the world of dancing and sweet moves! You can show 'em how rad it is to move that body move that body and make sure it don't hurt nobody!

You got the power to spread the love! That's why you like music, right?

It seems to depend upon the type of music you are playing, correct? That is at least something you can control. I, personally, would not mind being a quote unquote test subject for your music if you were to play something soothing where upon the only side effect is the risk of falling asleep.

If it could help you to better understand your ability, I would be glad to offer my aid, my lady.

Maybe do it in a more controlled environment? [Look at Jo, getting all knowledgeable with stuff she's learned at work.]

Not sure how much I can help, but...

I'm a surgeon, who can disintegrate things with his hands. And the way I first found out? I accidentally brought down a whole coffee shop, just by leaning against a wall. For weeks, I didn't even want to touch my girlfriend.

You just have to believe in your own self-control, and practice until you figure out how to close it off.

The difference is in your head -- they both sound plenty funny to me. Don't you need a sense of humor to pull off pranks?

Control can be hard, but once you achieve it, it makes things easier. Being afraid of yourself... it wears on you.
