Well, yes. [It's just now occurring to him that if anyone could understand his ambivalence on this, it's Estelle.]

...I can affect the emotions of people I speak to. It's been useful in a few crises to keep people calm and get them to safety. [But he can't really like such a manipulative power, either.]
