I'm not sure that the two are necessarily related. As far as I know, we've only been brought here for the past few years, not nearly long enough to have made a difference on the war. But the other way around is plausible, though this nation maintains it has no idea how to control the Porter.

We may be, yes. I know there have been some missions to fight the Soviets in the past, but they've been purely for volunteers. I can't say whether or not that'll change.
