Being bad at pacing don't mean the plot falls apart. They had quotas about how much wacky hijinks and songs they had to put in those flicks back then. You ever see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? That one's got no plot.

And if I'm gonna watch a series of animated vignettes, I'd rather watch Heavy Metal.
