I don't really care if you talk about it. Ignoring the past doesn't suddenly make parts of it disappear.

[the awful memories were just as much a part of her as the good, if not more. to sweep them under the rug would be the imply that they were too much to handle - and she'd never allow that sort of victory for the people who had set her down that path. it was an unacceptable sort of loss.]
