the government had cause to develop interest in certain imPorts given their feelings, actions, protest, big fucking mouths, their unwillingness to take lumps with the medals and the rewards

we are not favored, trusted, cared for beyond what decency and complacency would ask for, a distortion of privilege that we are meant to embrace and enjoy
