War does not discriminate in Russia. What matters is how people respond to it. I became a doctor to try to keep people from losing family members to such things, and while I did not save everyone, I know in the end I did everything I could for as many people as I could.
Don't confuse being needed with being needed in every situation. I worked myself to the bone for the duration of the Second World War at a soldier's hospital, and as much as it hurts, sometimes you have to learn when you're not the solution for a problem and when to step away.
Or get dragged away by the scarf in the case of myself and my wife, but she's not here to talk sense into anyone, much as that might be entertaining to watch.
