I never had freedom where I'm from. I wasn't in charge of anything, not even my own life.

You could take the time to reflect on the fact that you're safer here. Let it sink in that you don't have to be afraid all the time. Or at least, I'm guessing it was scary to be in a war. I was scared too, for different reasons.

For me, I think about all things I can do here that I couldn't do before. I try not to think about the bad stuff in my past, but I still do think about it too.

Even if you're not bored, you could try something you haven't done before. Something new to think about, you know?
