[ Kylo's expression is tight, his eyes intensely sharp- and those who have seen him before will note something else, too. His face is scarred- a long, neatly healed line running right over it, from his brow down to his neck. ]

Thankfully, he hasn't taken his clothing off for the occasion. ]

[ He leans in closer to the camera, and there- a very familiar expression. The very barest touch of a smile, his eyes steady. Kylo remembers everything. Very clearly.
And he knows Woden remembers his voice, a low, almost hypnotic thrum... ]

What a missed opportunity for you.

[ With his mask, it's so easy to ignore that, and just stare. Be blank. Kylo can't see his face, he can't tell what Woden's thinking, like this. He can't see him. ]

[ Kylo's smile spreads a little wider. He can't see Woden now, no. But he has been seen. And he knows it. That's more than enough. ]

[ Wonderful. He hadn't actually missed Woden in any real sense of the word, having spent his time away utterly unaware of his existence- but despite that, somehow, he had missed him. This. It felt like slipping into a pair of worn, comfortable shoes.

I would have thought you, of all people, would appreciate simple curiosity.

[ His helmet tipped. Beneath it, Kylo could likely see the twist, the sneer, and the annoyance on his face. As it is, it only looks curious, without the expression.

His voice filters through, musical and autotuned, scaling up and down the register like a song. ]

Oh, I'm doing just fine being the outcast among my pantheon. I don't mind being hated. I thought you'd figured that out, by now.

[ Oh Woden. Everybody minds being hated. It's hardwired. ]

I didn't realise they hated you. What for?

Apparently, people don't like that I was kind enough to give out powers. Without conditions, too.

I'm a giving god, and people... don't like that about me, apparently.

But even at your age you should know that those with power will do almost anything to avoid sharing it.

Mm, true enough. They will even punish those for no other reason than an imagined slight.

How rude of them. And yet they get to walk free, as if they did nothing wrong.
