By now, many of you are aware of the poison used against us during Sunday's ambush. Thanks to Ms. Kitty Jones' investigations, we now know that the venom contains nanomachines.

Unlike the nanites issued to every imPort upon arrival, however, these particular nanomachines appear to have been designed for the purpose of gathering data. We believe this is because the people injecting and attacking imPorts knew that anyone killed would most likely come back to life, and they wanted to study that process for their own purposes. This would also explain why our assailants were so intent on injecting people who had been killed.

In the interest of investigating further, we would like for those who were injected during Sunday's attack to identify themselves. Feel free to either comment in response to this message or send a private message if you'd rather avoid making such information public.

I don't believe it was just the injections. I was hit by a dart, which apparently was coated by the same poison.

In all likelihood, we'll periodically take blood samples to continue monitoring the nanomachines and watch for any unusual changes. If we're fortunate, that's all we'll need to do while we figure out whether we need to work on developing some means to remove them, or if they'll end up passing through people's systems on their own.

All right. Honestly, I think that would make me feel better about the whole thing. I can tell you that I haven’t felt any signs or symptoms of illness since that first night. It felt as though the poison had been dealt with, either because I fought it off or because the hospital’s intervention did.

When will I come in?

That's encouraging to hear. If it's true our assailants simply intended to study the resurrection process, I'm willing to believe they weren't designed for long-term use. It's possible the situation will resolve itself in due time.

Well, I'll not leave it too long. If you're right, then the sooner you can take a sample, the better someone helpful might come from it.
