[It's possible that there's a chill running down the spine of anyone listening, but that might just be due to how terrible the pun is. Or perhaps his voice, putting just a little bit too much emphasis on everything. Possibly also because of his power.]

Where I'm from, we'd already dealt with that. Interesting times though. Got very heated.

So, this is a war. Who are we rooting for? Are the commies drafting random people too?

I've been inside a Gulag once, not really looking for a repeat there.

[The recording cuts off here, but as he packs the device away, he actually walks inside the building and enters Heropa #020, to see whatever expects him there.]

The feed reveals someone who clearly took the superhero gig seriously, costume and all. Her bright red cape can be seen peeking from behind her broad shoulder. ]

Hard to root for anyone. Honestly, neither side is looking good here.

They've never said we had to fight directly, though our efforts would be appreciated.

[ While she tries to avoid getting caught up in the political entanglement, when they are attacked there's simply no way to stay out of it. She can't stand aside anyway. ]

[What is wrong with her costume? All right. He's acknowledged and accepted it, time to move on. It's mildly distracting, but he has his eyes under control and what she says is less puzzling, but more interesting.]

I don't see myself being all that invested. I'd rather know more about the minds behind all this.

We have no idea where it came from. The military doesn't either.

They found it in the ocean a long time ago, took it in to study, but haven't learned that much about it since. They don't exactly have control over it.

I know I always feel safer when the military possesses something that can control the world to an unsettling degree.

We're in luck; this machine doesn't control the world. [ Although it does have an affect when one thinks about it. ] But it means sending us back home isn't exactly doable.
