Video;
[The camera turns on to a man with a ponytail and young face wearing a large blue and black trench coat despite the summer weather. He smiles easily and gives the camera a short, almost embarrassed wave.]
Hello, I'm sure you've seen a million of these already, but I was told I should introduce myself. My name is Roland Crane and I was recently brought here thanks to your porter. I'll be residing in Maurtia Falls, government housing number 6.
Rather than pester you with questions about this world and what I should know about it--I plan on researching such topics in my own time--I would like to instead ask about the worlds where you once came from. What were they like? What do you miss most about them?
As for myself, I'm from a world similar to this one. There was strife there too, but of a different nature. I suppose the biggest difference is that my world did not have abilities. The world I had just come from, on the other hand... was much different.
[Just when it seems like he's going to elaborate on that, he just... stops. There's a brief pause before he suddenly changes gears.]
Actually, I know I said I wouldn't pester you with questions, but I do have one. I've seen your newspaper headlines about riots at the "porter cities", and I was wondering if this civil unrest was common here. Any insight there would be appreciated.
Thank you all for your time, and have a wonderful day.
[He moves to turn off the feed before stopping and pulling back. He rubs the back of his neck.]
Oh, and to the boy I ran into a few hours ago, I want to apologize again for frightening you. It was not my intention, and I hope that you made it back home safely.
[With his piece said, he actually does turn the feed off this time.]

( well that melted the smile right off her face.
suddenly she was beginning to feel a bit nervous, a small buzzing sound filling up the feed. )
I don't understand, how is that possible? Was it like this world, filled with people you don't know?

[He covers his mouth to cover a chuckle.]
I'm sure I sound crazy.

( maybe he did sound a bit crazy, but after everything she went through, it sounded like they could relate on some level.
she offered a light chuckle in return, feeling calm for once. )
It must have been stressful dealing with all that. How long were you there for?

[He flashes a grin.]
I was there for quite some time, actually. It was stressful, yes, especially after arriving in the midst of a coup and everything that surrounds that, but I'll look back on my time there fondly. I made dear friends and learned a lot.
And apparently I was given a parting gift.
[He brings up his hand into frame. After a brief flash of light, he's holding a large purple sword. There's two more flashes, revealing two more swords before a fourth flash and he's empty-handed once more.]

That is quite interesting, it's like something out of a video game.
I can imagine all of this being very....unsettling though. Going from your world to another and now this one...
Did you get powers there too?
no subject
It does, doesn't it?
[Roland skips the part about it being unsettling, whether accidentally or by design remains to be seen.
Though it was totally on purpose.]The arms band that allows me to summon weaponry I received there, yes. Over the course of my stay I did pick up very basic, minor magical abilities, but it isn't anything compared to what Evan or Leander could do.
[He turns the camera and holds out his hand, pointing it in the direction of a nearby chair. There's a small wall of wind that shoots out and blows the chair back against the wall, though not hard enough to break it.]

Are your powers easy to control because it's a sword and arm band? Or simply because you're naturally good?
no subject
It's a quite literal band. Anyone could summon my weapons were it in their possession. It does, however, require skill to properly wield a blade... that I had learned back when I was a child, many years ago.
[Says the guy who looks no more than 25 tops.]
