I'm pretty sure Sasuke — Uchiha Sasuke — has left. Been Ported out, whatever the correct terminology is. I hadn't seen him in a few days, and when I went to send him a message, it came back undelivered. That's how you tell, right?

He hadn't been here very long, so I'm not sure who'd be best to contact or if that's required.

[ Yato himself doesn't yet have the tenure here to have much experience with this yet. He glances off-screen for a moment, absently rubbing a hand behind his neck, the next part spoken more to himself than to listeners. ]

Wonder if they're going to send new people to stay here now... the house is really quiet with just one person.

I'm peachy! Just got back from vacation- that's what those gifts were from, but it seems like I didn't miss much else...

Man. So that place is empty now, huh? It was always bustling the whole time I was there! ...Guess it swapped with Red's old place or something...

Ninjas are great, but everyone's got the wrong idea of what they looked like.

Right, Sasuke and I were the only ones here, that's why I was wondering if they'd send more people. Is Red's place busy now?

Well, I know some ninjas back home, but they aren't anythin' like that guy...

Anyway, I come from a region called Kanto, back home. There's a Kanto in this world, too, so me and Red went to see if it was like home... Um, well, there was a lot that was really similar, and then a lot that was different. Kind of strange, huh?

Back when we were living over there, it was super empty for a long time! Then it started to fill up with people... I think it goes back and forth. Probably, you'll see some new faces after a little while.

[ he's surprised ]

Yeah, there's Kantō region of Japan, where I'm from. But the one I'm familiar with definitely doesn't have Pokémon.

... how'd you go see that? Or did you do the registry thing when you got here?

Yeah, that's where we went! ...It seems that way for most people here, but it's still the closest thing to home.

[Grumble...]

Yeah, me and Red are both Registered. Getting permission to travel was super easy. You're ...not?

Nah... there's just something about it that rubs me the wrong way, you know? We didn't ask to be here and going along with it in that way just seems like we're okay with it.

And it'd be weird for a god, anyway.

But they said I can't travel outside America without it being a big deal, so I've been putting it off.

[ Not out of fear of reprisal so much as being judicious as to when he causes that big deal. ]

Oh... I never thought of it that way. [Blue pauses for a moment to think on that. He knew a lot of people here had a personal problem with registering, for some reason, but he'd never really understood it. They were taking care of them and accepting responsibility, weren't they? He thought it was probably the best they could do.] I mean, to go along with it seems like it's no problem for us, to me anyway.

[Someone who has never once considered being weaponized in any way.]

--Ahaha, I guess.. a legendary doesn't want to be under a master, generally, right? [Man, it's still weird to hear other people refer to themselves like that.] I guess I understand where you're coming from, with that.

But I did hear that it's hard to travel without the paperwork. They made a big deal out of it when we got our visas! ...I um, might have made a little scene once, when we traveled before...

[ Whereas Yato, on the other hand, has far too much experience being weaponized. ]

Everyone's got their own reasons for registering or not, what's right for one person might not be for another.

[ He's laughs a little bit at Blue saying there had been a scene. ]

Now there's a story I'd like to hear some time. But being able to appear where I want certainly does cut down on the hassle of trying to use the Porters.

Yeah, I guess so. I mean, no water off the Psyduck's back to me.

Huh? You mean, like you can Teleport? That's handy.

[ Yato might just have to look that up, if he needs a laugh. ]

Yeah, I guess it's a type of teleportation. That makes it sound more like a superpower, but it's something all gods know how to do. I can't go just anywhere though, it's...

[ a vague shrug ]

You know, I don't think I've ever had to explain it before.

...I don't think you gotta call it a 'superpower' when you're a god... That's something else beyond all that, isn't it...?

Pokémon can Teleport us wherever we want to go, where I'm from. I'm used to it. Oh, and some people can too, like my friend Sabrina. She's a Psychic.

[ Yato looks surprised. ]

Oh, they can bring people with them? That'd actually be useful, I can't bring anyone from the Near Shore -- uh, the living world -- along with me when I go. Other Far Shore beings, but I'm the only one here that I know of.

So it's great for getting to my jobs, but wouldn't work for anyone else.

Near Shore...? [Blue repeats, but he shrugs it off.] Yeah. Well, but my Pokémon that can teleport isn't here. Sabrina's got the same Pokémon, though, so both she and Alakazam can teleport with people.

You can't go super far, I mean-- not across a whole country, or the world or anything; but we could travel to another Porter city, probably.

That's still pretty cool.

[ In the discussion, Blue'd effectively cheered him up from the original posting reason, and he realizes he's been smiling for a good portion of it. ]

[Blue's grinning too, but that's because he's getting to brag about his Pokémon. He blinks at the thanks.]

[Blue seems stunned into silence for a long moment, but then he just sort of.. a little awkwardly, laughs.]

You don't gotta thank me for something like that, what the heck? It's not like you're some kind of scary weirdo like a lot of people here, or anything.

[ Yato immediately senses he probably should not have gone that route and backtracks with much more typical banter. ]

[Blue seems a little confused by the backtracking, but he's a simple guy, and doesn't think into it much further than that. He lets it go with a shrug.]

Well, no, it's not that sort of wish. Though I wish you could let me talk or see my mentor back home. [Eli looks upset for a brief moment, but hey, he wouldn't ask Yato to bring Thrawn here. Even if he could, that is too selfish of a wish for Eli.]

I want to find out about this person.

[ Yato offered Eli a briefly apologetic shrug, thankful that the wish wasn't for contacting someone in a different world, but he's attentive to the actual request. ]
