Chocolate and vanilla are the most popular, I believe. I don't think anyone would consider vanilla boring, though.

Ah... that's what someone in my company said, that vanilla was kind of boring. I thought it was kind of rude, vanilla's nice! Um, but do you make birthday cakes, Kaneki-san?

I've never had pear cake before...

I do like vanilla... but strawberry is nice, too. Ah, though matcha cake is also pretty nice! See? It's hard to decide!

It's really good. There's a few ways to make it, but my favorite is running the pears through a food processor and mixing it right into the batter. Like banana bread.

That just means you get to try more flavors to find your favorite.

i have a lot but hummingbird cake with cream cheese frosting is definitely one of my top five!
and there's nothing wrong at all with vanilla! the great thing about vanilla is that it's really versatile! you can leave it as-is or dress it up with, say, lavender and lemon or something like that

It's very hard.
Molten-chocolate lava cakes are really good. Raspberry frosting works on them.
Or a bourbon chocolate cake with salted caramel frosting.
Or carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.
I can't pick one.

I completely forgot about molten lava cakes! Those are really delicious and they're actually easy to make...

I don't see how vanilla is boring. I like it better for the icing than the cake though--unless the cake is chocolate or vanilla, then you have to go for chocolate icing.

I think it's really important~ cake's not a regular treat, after all. Right? I was kind of blindsided and didn't think about what I'd like, so now I have to think about it... the wrong kind of dessert can really ruin a party~

So... if a cake is chocolate or vanilla, you think it should have chocolate icing? I can't really see a strawberry cake have vanilla frosting, though... because chocolate strawberries are really popular, aren't they?

Chocolate-chocolate for those that like it rich. Vanilla-chocolate is a classic, but I've seen vanilla and strawberry icing too. But I think you're right about the strawberry cake, it'd be better with chocolate for sure...Is this for you or someone else?
