I didn't know how long I should wait with this. I wanted to give people time to recover, because I know I needed time to recover, and then I was worried about if I was gonna be messing with the election or something by making it too fresh in people's minds. But I don't think waiting longer will help.
So, I'm gonna talk a little more about the Shimmer, and our memories of it. And it's not gonna be very pleasant, obviously. And I want to give people time to stop watching this if they don't want that dug up again, and I wanna make sure they have enough time to process what I said, so I'm gonna ask something totally unrelated first. It's a happier question, and you can feel free to answer just that and ignore the other part.
What's your favorite song to dance to? If you like to dance. [This portion of the video is pretty clearly improvised, and she's having serious second thoughts about it, but she's already started. May as well see it through.] And um, if you don't, is there any song that you'd make an exception for?
[She spends a few seconds awkwardly forcing a smile before giving up and returning to her original point.]
Anyway, um. To those of us who were in there, there's just something I've been thinking about. If you saw natives in there, have you talked to the government services about it? Just given whatever details you can. They'll know who hasn't come home, by this point. And we might not be able give confirmation they died, even. But if we can tell the friends and families something, anything at all about the last few hours or days of their loved ones' lives... I don't know. It could help some people. And it will hurt some people. But I think it's information worth passing on, if we're willing.
I... haven't done this myself, yet. If anyone wants to go to them as a group.

I guess Jacob would probably know one way or the other, huh?

You might owe it to yourself to. But you're the only one who can make that call.
