Anyone use a katana or know where to get a good one? I would like to find someone I can train with to keep up my skills. No good slicing air and all. If neither of those are feasible, I'm good with practicing knife combat as long as there's a decent training ground for that.

Preferred training hours are between 5-7 PM or 10 PM to... whatever. I'll eventually go home, but I'll basically stay up as long as anyone can stand it.

Looks like we can get something worked out after all. Someone just told me the military base in Florida is a place to train in.

The base will work well. I doubt they have proper japanese steel, but they might have an acceptable replacement for the sake of training.

I'll even settle for a kendo practice sword at this point, but I don't think I want to sink so low.

There's sufficient space for training of those sorts on the military base in Florida, though generally it's not suggested to practice on each other with live steel. In a manner of speaking.

Katana's are different most swords, but I'm not gonna explain more than that. That information should be easy to get yourself.
