Mom and I are going to be moving to Heropa soon.

not right away, we need time to pack and find a house and everything, but maurtia falls isn't safe for me any more

I still like it there but i can't defend myself well, and I can't have people around me to protect me 24 hours a day, so it feels like the longer i'm there the more likely it is that something bad's going to happen

so be prepared!! the Tina tornado is going to take heropa by storm!!! and the linda... lightning bolt??

let me know what's good there as far as shopping and entertainment and stuff too

It wasn't an easy choice and i still don't want to leave

it's really great. i mean to be fair I don't control everything around the house

I am sure she will be pleased to be in Heropa, then. Even aside from safety, the warmer climate is more agreeable to families in many ways, especially compared to the rain of Maurtia Falls.

It's more like what we're used to, definitely. we lived within sight of the beach back in my world. so we can make a home there, just like we made one here. we can be happy.

Familiarity certainly does bring its own comfort. Do you believe you can find a home within sight of Heropa's waters?

we're still looking. imPort housing is further away from the beach but it's more affordable. and I can ride my bike there.

How practical of you. What of security? I hope you will still take measures for your safety, even in this new environment.

i have my intangibility. makes it hard for someone to hurt me that way. and i have a lot of friends in heropa who can look out for me. we're still not 100% safe but that'd be true of any city really

Very true indeed. Which is why I recommend you take more precautions. Your powers can be taken from you. And your friends may fail you, if the Porter does not simply send them away.

what sort of precautions are you referring to?

A security system for your new home. And perhaps a network of turrets, in case of intruders that cannot be handled with your powers.

but a security system isn't a bad idea

Without additional defenses, a security system is only a set of eyes to see without a hand with which to halt. But I am pleased that you are considering my suggestions.

The laws that govern imPort lives are weak and poorly enforced. I am living proof of that truth. I would not worry myself with such details, in your place.

Yet those same humans are perfectly content to be responsible for your own demise, and that of your family. That is the very reason you have had to flee to Heropa, is it not?

Be reasonable, Tina. Your hesitation is a weakness that your enemies will exploit without any hesitation of their own.

I need to think about the cost it would have on me, too. i came from a world that was safe. where I didn't have to worry so much about these kinds of things. i can't just to a total 180 and be happy with the idea of killing people

Did you truly come from a world that was safe? Perhaps your family merely sheltered you from certain realities you were fortunate enough to not face.
