Apparently, this past Wednesday was Techies Day, Virus Appreciation Day--I'm not so sure about that one--National Kale Day, and National Boyfriend Day.

The rest of the month is the same too. I checked..

I guess, what I'm asking is...what's the weirdest holiday you've seen or heard of?

Don't think that actually exists, but hey. Who turns down free coffee?

Honestly, I would have been, but I tend to drink what passes for coffee from the office caf. It's a sad existence, actually.

They go buckwild for random holidays in Valhalla. National bagel day is my favourite. Or national video game day. International ax throwing day is my least favourite. Or national tartan day for reasons I don't wanna talk about.

Why is national vodka day the day after national boyfriend day?

Some of those sound amazing. International Ax Throwing Day should not be a thing. Don't tell Clarisse it's a thing...And I do not want to know anything about anything related to National Tartan Day.


...I'm surprised they aren't on the same day honestly. Maybe it's for the people that get broken up with on National Boyfriend Day?

Definitely one of the weirder holidays, not going to deny that one.

Valentine's...The Aphrodite kids are pretty big on it back home, and not everyone sees it as weird or useless. I don't really celebrate it...

I'm from a world that's pretty different from this one, so... I'm going to go with Halloween, so far. I LIKE the idea, but I still don't quite get all the aspects of it.

What exactly don't you get about Halloween?

The dressing up in costumes and asking for candy part. I can understand pumpkins- they're part of the harvest. Witches and things, sure, if it's about keeping evil spirits away. But what does trick or treating have to do with it?

I think it comes from the idea that spirits roam the earth and need to be appeased? Honestly, it has a lot of different explanations depending on who you talk to.

I just think it's fun for kids.
