Hello everyone, we are making an official announcement that we are currently working to visit Death Island and build a memorial on site for the imPorts who have permanently died there. For those who aren’t familiar with the story, in 2008 a group of teenage imPorts went to the island in order to stop a man who built a Death Ray. I understand the naming is… [ IT’S SOMETHING. ] but the Ray killed seven imPorts permanently. It has been ten years since then, and I think it’s important to remember those who were lost.

--Right, yeah, [riptide leans a little closer to the camera. it’s time to pay attention to him now!!] it’s got a weird name and the history sucks. So, anyway, we already have quite a bit of backing from ambassador Baal, Baelish and senator Hundred. [ oh god, no - Kaneki moves in, shoving Riptide away as he tries to salvage this ] He-- isn’t wrong. We need funding to build the memorial, but we also need signatures to show imPorts support this idea. We are also gathering them from natives, who have been very receptive to this idea. [slightly off camera, riptide can be heard mumbling that’s what i said!. Kaneki will ignore him because what else can you do? ]

When do you reckon you're gonna be doing that? Like, after you get such-and-such an amount?

We are waiting to have more signatures from natives and imPorts before presenting this idea to the government. And after, they'll have to contact New Zealand, since the island is under their jurisdiction.

So I'd say perhaps a month or a bit more than that. [ a pause ] Around Christmas? [ he isn't sure if that's tactful or not, in all honesty ]

Perhaps. I admit I'm not very familiar with the country. [ he will be now. kaneki will be reading aaaaaall about them for sure ]

Hm! [ he nods softly ] It's related to religion, but a lot of people celebrate it without such a thing. It's a time of peace and family and love for others. People share presents among themselves and spend time together. [ in japan, it's a romantic holiday, but kaneki learned to see it differently during his time in this world ]
