So, Jeopardy, Nevada. I went there to check it out and I thought it might be helpful to have a post discussing this that talks about issues other than the prostitutes, important as that subject matter might be.

[The sarcasm is heavy with this one.]

So, anyway, I had a lot of questions that I figured we could hash out. Like...have the natives' memories all been altered to remember the city that wasn't there before? Have our memories been altered to think it's new? Have we been transported to another, very similar Earth that also has a Porter and a very similar history including another version of us in the night without our knowing? And what's with all this casual 'it's just the radiation' nonsense? Could this be related to the OTO? They were doing some radiation based experiments trying to find a way to give natives powers. Should we get some medical professionals to check people out who go there, see how the radiation is affecting us? Maybe we can get some natives living in Jeopardy to submit themselves to medical testing to see how it's affecting them? Also, what's with that spider church? That doesn't seem typical of religions in this region of Earth. I feel like someone should check that out.

What about the rest of you? What are your thoughts?

If we were back in my world, I'd say one of the daedric princes is messing with us.

But since they don't exist here, I'm not really sure what's going on. Am definitely going to check out that church though.

[As the Night Mother's mortal connection to Tamriel and therefor technically a religious figurehead, he feels a need to see what that's about.]

I think that could be arranged.

I don't think our memories were altered. Or if they were, they'd have to have altered more than that. I have photographs from all of the Porter cities, and I don't have any in a desert.

[And the desert is the best biome! He would have gone there first!]

But you're right. There's so much we have to discuss.

...I don't know. It seems like none of the natives I've spoken to see anything unusual with what's going on, so... I just don't think that we've all forgotten about Jeopardy existing before this. I don't like what it means either way.

I believe you overestimate the government's ability to alter our memories in such a way.

But radiation experiments would be interesting research to pursue. I can't imagine any such experiments would work on natives since would just give them radiation poisoning. Using ImPorts would be the best option for them.

As for the spider church, it's no less ridiculous than the religions I've already seen on this planet.

I don't believe any of us has the resources to handle radioactive material in a research capacity. But doing research into what experiments may be going on may prove useful.

I don't believe so either- this government seems to be rather weak and ineffective.

[Jacob looks wry in the video, his arms folded across his chest.]

Hell of a lot to take in, isn't it? Feels like anything's possible right now. But if I had to guess, I'd say that Lachesis or one of her sisters just altered the world for some reason. They've done it before.

I try to be.

So you've already been out there. What's it like?

Either way it's mighty suspicious.

Maybe it's some kind of test.

I doubt that "radiation" is a sufficient explanation for the phenonemea described. Possibilities include quantum improbability energy, insufficient shielding, failed attempts at dimension shifting, or some mind-altering contaminant that produces hallucinations in the water.

Data is needed. Speculation without facts is simply that: speculation.

I heard there was an incident just before I arrived where there was an attack on Heropa which happened over and over until it was stopped, but only imPorts remembered it afterward. It could be something like that...? Though the alternate universe theory makes sense too, since a city can't just appear out of thin air. Unless it already existed and the only difference is the Porter connecting to it now and everyone saying it always did. Though that doesn't explain how there were supposedly imPorts there before...

[Oh dear, he's started the Muttering. This might go on for a bit.]

[ Nothing about this new Porter city sits right with Haru either. However, it does make her wonder how they might have missed a whole city in Nevada. ]

Like Izuku-kun is saying, there was a missile crisis in spring that apparently only us imPorts recall?

Although, I do wonder if this city was always there and something perhaps affected our cognition that we were finally able to see it? Like um, a trigger.

Did anyone ever find out what caused the locals from not acknowledging the missiles?
