My time here has certainly been... educational. [She could call it a variety of other things, but she tries to be polite, especially in public and asking for something.]

I have a request- two, actually. My first is that I'd like to meet other magic users- mages, witches, wizards, enchanters and even sorcerers- you never know when it might be useful to combine our skills, and I'd like to learn more about magic from other worlds. [You never knew when you'd need multiple people for a large scale binding, after all.]

My second request is that I'd like to spar with someone- primarily swords, but also knives and hand to hand, since I won't be able to take my sword everywhere. If anyone is offering lessons in physical combat, I'd like to learn more.

I can't help you with the magic thing, [ Because the Force isn't magic, okay! ] but I'm already helping a few others train, and my skills are mostly with sword combat, though I can give you some hand-to-hand pointers too.

Shouldn't be a problem - though I keep it to pure self-defense. How to incapacitate so you can escape an attacker, I don't teach people how to beat someone up.

A knife's just a tiny sword you can hide in your sleeve and throw at someone's face.

Well swords let you keep more distance when you fight. And I've other tools to fight at a distance.
