Hey everyone. For those of you who are new here, my name is Kanan Jarrus.

I just wanted to say a quick thank you, to everyone who stepped up over the holidays to help us out. The Endeavor Center teamed up with some other charities here in Maurtia Falls to try and give as many people as possible a good holiday - hot meals, warm clothes, toys for the kids. We did a lot of good, and a lot of people gave very generously, of their time, money, and other resources to make it possible. Hundreds of people had a happy holiday season because of all your help. You know who you are, and thank you.

Just remember - if you want to help, in any way, at any time, we always need more help. The Endeavor Center and NeoJedha aim to keep kids off the streets and safe, and teach them new skills to help them help themselves. Contact me if you want to help out.

[ His tone turns a little lighter, a faint smile tugging at his lips. ]

Also, if you need paid work and you have experience with accounting or... uh. Taxes - I'm hiring. Seriously. This stuff is really confusing. How does anyone manage this bantha dung?

What sort of skills are you teaching the children?

[ An unexpected reply. Kanan tilts his head a little. ]

A lot of different things, depending on their interests and needs. Why? Are you offering to teach them something?

[ His answer will be no, if so. Of course, there's also the possibility that Grievous thinks he's training children in the ways of the Jedi, but he'll start with this. ]

I can teach them to fight. Defending themselves and others. To protect, when necessary.

[ That gets an almost-surprised laugh from Kanan. But it's not particularly pleasant. ]

We've already got several people doing that.

Are they as experienced in battle?

They might not be as experienced in wholesale slaughter, but that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

I understand that you are not training an army.

[ Kanan chuckles faintly. ]

I wouldn't have a problem with that. I can live off next to nothing if I need to, but -

[ He shrugs expansively. ]

I'm told if I want to keep running a charitable organization, there's paperwork. Go figure.

I can imagine. [ For all her desire to improve the world, Cassandra isn't the founding a charity type. Well- not right now. ]

Nice to hear it's going fine, at least. All the evidence I get of it is the crafts Martin brings home- no offense.

It's definitely the part of the job I'm least suited for. Well, it might be neck-and-neck with "having to give speeches at parties sometimes".

[ He wouldn't have ever seen himself in this kind of role, that's for sure. But, here he is. ]

Martin's a good kid. Can't speak to the quality of his crafts, though. He's probably better at them than I am.

Couldn't you hire someone for public relations? Or is that out of the budget? [ Cassandra used to be a superstar, afer all- she got used to that sort of hierarchy. ]

They're cute. Honestly, he likes them, so it's hard to care about the rest of it. He did make us the only Chistmas tree we had. [ A pause. ] If you even know what that is.

Not in the budget. Anyone who would want to do that kind of thing would have to be willing to do it for free.

[ He smiles faintly, though. ]

I know what they are, in that I've had them explained to me, but it does still strike me as kind of weird. Not as weird as some stuff here, though.
