You know what I'm really glad about? That there's things that taste good when you have to do that whole eating thing. [There's emphasis on eating, like it's so much effort.]

It took a while to remember how to...how to do all of this? I think some things have gotten a lot grosser since being away. Can that happen?

[He's gone quiet for a moment.]

I think I get what you mean. I was ported out for a couple months back home and felt the same when I got back, even though it had only been a day or so. Has anything happened back home?

Oooh, yikes. I'll come meet you there. It's kinda weird. Mostly harmless and extremely haunted, but weird!

[Haunted. That sounded both amazing and terrifying and he's even more glad Riptide is here.]

[He leaves his home and makes his way towards the Porter. Totally keeping his optics open for any ghosts.]

[riptid laughs, clearly not worried at all, then scoops up tailgate when he exits the porter to see the little minibot. he mushes his cheek against tailgate's visor happily, a bit like a cat.]

Teeeeg! I missesd you!!

[As soon as he sees Riptide emerge, his arms are up, he's expecting and hoping to be lifted. Tailgate holds on to the bigger bot, careful not to grip any harder.]

I've missed you too! So much, it's crazy. It's not even been that long really. For me I guess?

[thank u for not crushing him tailgate...]

I know, I know-- I... I'm so sorry about it all, Tailgate. Uhm-- I've lived far past the mutiny if you wanna know... what the future holds.

[he snorts.]

[He's pretty sure he's done enough damage to you before.]

Time stuff is weird. It's...it's okay, it happened. And you know why? Cause we're okay.

You make it, [he says, swallowing back some emotion, laying his chin on the top of tailgate's head.] and so does Cyclonus. You're together, and you're happy. That's all that matters, right?

Tailgate tilts his head some.]

[the question takes him by surprise. there? yeah. here....? no.]

[He's going to take him at his word, he had no reason to think otherwise, Riptide had always seemed at least somewhat happy here.]

So, is this place still really crazy?

Yeah, but not DJD ported in crazy. Just normal crazy.

[He frowns, or as much as he can and looks down for a second before he gives Riptide another hug.]

[riptide just huffs, picking tailgate up and bridal carrying him.]

Don't sweat it, Teeg. You're here now. Maybe we'll get lucky and Cyclonus will show up as well, eh?

Yeah, that'd be nice. I'm not holding out hope though. Does that sound mean?

[riptide sighs.]

He wasn't here before. Why would now be any different? Maybe I shouldn't have said that...

But you're right. That's why I'm not really hopeful. I mean, sure it'd be really nice to have him here. But I survived last time. And I''m okay if he doesn't come here. I have my buddy Riptide here!

[Focusing on the important thing here]

Hm? Oh yeah, never had a need for it until I got here really. [Said like it's totally a normal thing.]

[He switches to the video function. Suddenly a robot's on screen and points to his mouth plate.]

No mouth. Well not exactly.

Oh, you're like a robot? That's really cool, actually. [He thinks about it for a second.] Do you have to plug yourself in or something?

Hmm yeah. Both made of metal.

[The plate moves a little and his optics brighten as if he was smiling.]

Yeah to recharge. I haven't had to do it here though. I tend to sleep a lot though.

[Oh, that's really neat. Roxas finds himself smiling in return.]

What about dreaming? Do you have dreams?

Hm no? I haven't had any. As a human I have, they've been really bizarre.

You can be human sometimes? Is that...a powers thing?

Yeah, this place gave me a human form. I guess to make it easier to blend in or something? It's dumb. They didn't even give lessons on how to be human. And they never asked.

[Roxas is silent for a moment before replying, because boy, can he relate.]

Be nice if they did, wouldn't it? A lot of people would be better off.

They would. If I'd been asked when I got here if I wanted a human body, no way would I say yes.

None taken. Being a robot is really cool. Being human's way harder than people think.
