Which city do I need to go to, to find a job that pays for fighting and/or strategizing skills? The job doesn't necessarily have to be legal.

If you're already talking about breaking the law, then maybe it's better for everyone if you stick with your assigned employment.

If my assigned employment wasn't utterly unsuitable, I wouldn't be forced to consider breaking the law as alternative. If you have something within the law to offer, then do so.

Do I look like a job agency to you? If this is how you handle things, I doubt you'd be a good fit for any place I might suggest.

You are the one that felt the need to answer my post, so I figure you might want to add something of constructive value.

I handle things by looking for the most efficient way to accomplish my goal. That's all there is to that.

Any kind of protection work would need fighting skills. Like a bouncer, security guard, bodyguard, etc. I think you could find that in any city. People want to feel safe.

Protection, I guess. I wouldn't be oppose to some kind of competitive fighting either, if it pays.

i know of a few... lets call them private security companies that are always looking for muscle

but there's plenty of underground fighting in mf too
with those, even if you aren't good enough to make decent money winning fights you can always make more money fixing them

Hand-to-hand and duel combat, if latter means anything to you. I spent the last two years refining both while fighting for my world's resistance movement against an invading force from another dimension.

If that's your background, I think you'll find yourself gainfully occupied here. Though I am curious why you specified that legality was not required.

In the dimensions that I'm familiar with, duel combat involves a game named Duel Monsters. If that doesn't tell you anything, then it doesn't matter.

A practical mindset, to be sure. I'm given to understand that we are threatened by some being from beyond this world, Atropos, they call her.

There is a group called Aegis that knows more about this than I do, and they seem quite involved in efforts to fend her off. But they have an emphasis on law-abiding behavior, as Commander Taylor's response above makes quite abundantly clear.

If you don't care about legalities, Maurita Falls is the place to be. Not that I'd recommend the whole lawless thing, but you can have your pick of jobs there.

...Pretty much anything. Honestly, I kept my job because the whole legal-aide thing actually pays well. But some of the people I live with work odd jobs, one helps run a gym...If you had a job back where you came from, you might even find something similar.
