Yeah. That's one of the things I'd be looking up before doing a bonfire. It's also something that might require adults to be around for it to be legal, no matter how sure I am that I can make the fire as safe as possible.

Good news! That's actually something we're working out. Or, well, someone suggested it to me and it seems like a really easy thing compared to a lot of other options. There are going to be water guns, water balloons. Food, probably a potluck but I'm still going to bring extra in case someone isn't capable of bringing something. And I'm looking into the local laws to see what the rules are for barbecue cooking.
