two things!!

one, i wish it was possible to just ride horses everyplace. or that they'd get on with inventing personal teleporters that can go everywhere. because seriously, i don't feel like I'm ever gonna get the hang of driving a car

second!!

I've been moping for about 2 months now ever since mom left and I'm getting tired of it, and i want to do something about it

would any of our teenage population be interested in a cooking night? like, i could teach you how to cook burgers and maybe come up with punny names for them, and afterward we can watch movies and have flavored popcorn

also some belated birthday cake since I kinda didn't feel like celebrating my birthday last month

Keep working at it!  Being able to drive is great.   Especially if  [She pauses for a moment, thinking if there's no one to tell you where to go.  That feels insensitive considering Tina's loss.]   Especially because it gives you more freedom.

I'd be up for a cooking night.   If I count as teenager.  I was eighteen when I was ported in.   I guess I'm older than that now.

I'm still considering if I'm ready, to be honest. I did it now because school offers driver's ed and all my classmates are doing it, but... I might do better if I wait a year. Then again, seize the day, right?

If I were back home I'd definitely wait. But yeah... here, I have no idea if I'm going to get Ported home tomorrow. That makes it easier to just do stuff and not think too hard about it.

That's what we do where I'm from. Well, anyone with the money to buy a horse rides horses everywhere. Or rides in a horse drawn carriage.

THAT would be the dream. I do own a horse, but he's a miniature and too small for me to ride everywhere.

Miniature horses are really popular with halflings in our world. They're a race of people who are usually around four feet tall.

but the bad part is horses are a lot slower. they need rest and feeding and water, but cars only need fuel

Indeed, I suspect many more people in this world are capable of traveling great distances than ever could do so in my own. Only a select few ever see much beyond the town of their birth.

Anyone who wants to learn is welcome. i used to give lessons at the youth center when I lived in Maurtia Falls but stopped when I moved to heropa
