It is a tool for someone to psychoanalyze you without your knowledge or consent. I don't know who is pulling the strings of it here, but it is not just a game.

I don't know who to suspect at this time. My guess is whoever is behind the sudden appearance of things from people's worlds is monitoring the Mind Game as well.

It's technically called the "Fantasy Game," but Mind Game is a more appropriate title.

[ Fortunato doesn't exactly use the network often, for a variety of reasons. But he listens to it, or in this case has it read to him, at times. To be aware of what could happen around him, if nothing else.

It's been a while since he's heard Bean's name. And Bean is smart. Maybe he shouldn't get too close- what's the point? But still: ]

[ Bean prefers the distance of text. It doesn't reveal his young age so readily, which makes it more likely that the people he talks to will listen to his advice. But Fortunato already knows him. So voice will do for now. ]

It lets you choose an avatar, to run around a fantasy land. Then it presents you with choices, and analyzes you based on your decisions.

On a computer. In my world, we used holographic desks with touch screen capacity, but I suppose this version of the game runs on any computer powerful enough to run the graphics.

You play as a character in a fantasy world, who is presented with a series of tasks and choices. How you complete the tasks, and what decisions you make, inform whoever's behind the game on aspects of your psychological profile.

The game is full of choices to make, tasks to complete. The way you choose to have your avatar act, the choices you make all inform the people monitoring the game as to the way your mind works. Soon enough they'll tailor the game experience to you specifically, and show you things that wouldn't make sense to anyone but you. Just to get a rise out of you.
